What Do You Like That You're Not Supposed To?

Lima or butterbeans are GREAT. What else are you gonna put in ham and bean soup?

^ Navy beans, compadre, navy beans.

I am allergic to palm oil … it gives me the shits. Unfortunately many premade or mix based foods now use palm oil as the shortening. When I know I have a colon cleanse set up, I will deliberately enjoy the now forbidden to me foods for dinner knowing that I am going to be shitting anyways.

I love Coca Cola but I know it’s poison. I don’t drink soda.

Pop tarts, esp. the cheapo ones (knock-off brands)

American cheese. Perfect on a burger.

Use 'em all, but it must have butter beans.

Good lawd. I’d rather eat a chunk of drywall with half a teaspoon of jelly than a Pop Tart. Probably couldn’t tell the difference.

I got in trouble once because of those stupid things. My brother and I were unloading groceries from the car and I saw a box of UNFROSTED Pop Tarts in the bag. As if the frosted ones aren’t horrible enough.

Fuck! She bought these god damn things again for breakfast! Sonvabitch!”

Not knowing my Ma was standing around the corner. Smack! Ow!

I used to dislike the real stuff but now I prefer it. I actually use less of it than the fake stuff and I think it tastes better now.

you don’t see them anymore but walmart used to make a pineapple/orange creme flavored sandwich cookie for a while …id eat the whole bag in 45 minutes …

Those do sound good.

they were and it actually tasted like pineaple and orange …

I will side with the previous Miracle Whip eaters. It isn’t supposed to taste like mayo- it’s supposed to taste like mayo with added stuff like mustard and sweet pickle relish as in tuna, potato, or chicken salad.

I like it on tomato and bacon sandwiches, leftover cold turkey thigh meat sandwiches later on Thankgiving day, and tenderloin sandwiches (Hoosier style).

Exactly…you got in trouble because you were “supposed to” like poptarts and hated them. Then I admit, guiltily, that I love them even though I’m a grownup and they are just terrible. Sugared cardboard etc.

I’ve never heard of unfrosted Pop Tarts and when I checked the website yesterday, I didn’t see any. Was this a product back when you were a kid? Because I think without the sweetness of the frosting, they’d be hard to choke down.

I always wondered why they made some unfrosted…the people who bought “plain” donuts (no powdered sugar, no frosting, etc.) were probably that target audience.

I always toasted my pop tarts very carefully because if you go too far, that frosting gets way too hot, burns, etc. I thought Danish Go Rounds were much better.

Unfrosted Poo-Tarts were definitely a thing. I did not like them at all.

I like steamed broccoli and raw cauliflower. I bring raw cauliflower to work and eat it while at the front desk.

I actually prefer the unfrosted Pop Tarts. In a lot of cases, the icing is just a bit much.

I think the “plain” donuts were for dunking in coffee. I think some at the Dunkin Donuts chain had a little handle off the side of the circle.

I’m not sure I would like Poo-Tarts even if they were frosted.

Same here. Once in a while I’m in the mood for Pop-Tarts, but I’ll only buy the unfrosted kind. The frosted ones are way too sweet for me.
