What do you name in the MMP?

We have yet to fall ill from eating grilled flat iron steak and okra.

hey nuts I have a gardening question what is the optimal time of day to spray for gardening pest?
We need to spray to keep the bugs from eating our soon to be pumpkins but my aunts worried that the spray will burn the leaves due to the heat ………

Supper will be chickie-n-dumplins. It’s simmering away, and the dumplins will be added soon.

I got some Klondike bars for dessert.

And that’s pretty much it for now.

We have supped. Shrimpies 'n grits plus the leftover beans and peas (which are much to flytrap’s consternation) made for some good suppage. Plus got rid of two containers of leftover stuff. Win-Win!

I had shrimp tonight, since I didn’t make it last night.

I’m having take out brought back by my hubby from the good new place. The food is outstanding. We have a friend here for a day or two and they went. The only thing I ever had from there is a chicken dish. The chicken is sourced from some specialty fram in CA and the difference is huge form grocery bought chicken. The also have this killer coconut chocolate bread pudding. I hope they hurry. Hungry.

You’re now the second person I know of who did that. I mean go to Arby’s & get something *other *than Roast Beast.

Just got an email in my junk mailbox, supposedly from some family’s charitable trust; it was addressed to, “Dear my Family Pick You”. Yeah, Imma gonna get right on that.
<Delete>

When I make the hour long trip to one of the two Arby’s left in this state, I get the ham and cheese sandwiches they have. The Chicken Cordon Blu is in the rotation also. Jamoca shakes are good. Heck, the could put in a store in the next state over, and it would be half the distance to the other two stores.

In other news, I’m going to see 2001 in IMAX next week, and the theatre has a Fudruckers.

I hope Adam is okay. He came in this morning and has been in all day, sleeping. For all I know he spends the entire day sleeping when he is outside. He ate when he came in this morning but I think he hasn’t moved from his sleeping spot all day.

Maybe he is tired of being wet.

You know there’s notin wrong with peas…I’ll have to try swampys grits to see if I can get over my deal with them…

I so wanna try Arby’s brisket and rb sandwiches …

He wanted back outside so I guess he was just lazy today.

I’m sorry about your friend spidey

As I was walking to my desk from security this morning, I heard someone holler Get the ERTs!. Our new products engineering department manager was having a heart attack. They defibrillated him and performed CPR and he had a pulse by the time the paramedics got there. I hope he recuperates well.

In other news, it looks like I will be the proud owner of a silver 2018 Hyundi Elantra SEL by this time Friday! I’m excited. The dealership will pick me up from the rental car company and we’ll go back to the showroom where we sign the paperwork. I need to call the insurance company tomorrow to add the new wheels.

No, no, no, no, NO!

Drive the rental to the dealer, then, after the paperirk is signed let them assist you w/ returning the rental. You will not have problems w/ late-breaking extra fees if you have the ability to get up & walk out, which you will not if you have already returned the rental car.

Why yes, I do trust dealers about as much as flytrap. :dubious:

Worked, napped. Still pondering the car’s name.

Sorry, Spidey.:frowning:

I could do that.

 on the heart attack.

But congrats on the new car, red.

Much as it pains me, I think spidey might have a point, red. Depends how relaible you think the dealer is, I guess. Last two I went into were not a problem.

And Red,  on the heart attack, how he recovers OK.

Butters, trust you ate well.

I’ve never been a big fan of Arby’s, even though I like their “We Have the Meats” commercials. But to each his or her own…

Coached my 6-year old girls team and shared some candy I brought back from China, they thought it was pretty good but hard candy, not chewy. Tomorrow is the 12U girls, so we’ll see what they think of it. And Friday is the 12U boys, and they could care less what they eat…

Tile guys are back tomorrow, they only have the laundry room to finish, the Master bathroom will be next. Cabinets are due about the 28th, so things will start happening quickly (I hope). Really getting tired of being trapped on one side of the house.

Congrats on the car Red! I hope your co-worker is ok.

As always I have shrimp n’ grits envy.

The new house purchase is moving along. I visited the build site last week. The house is up, and almost finished. It’s painted inside and out. It’s piped and wired. The cabinets are in. The tile is in. I think they’re down to things like the lighting, the receptacles, the rest of the flooring, showers and tubs, the doors. It’s supposed to be done by the end of September. We do a final walkthrough on October 4th. They have one week to make any final changes and we take possession on October 11.

We’re moving ahead to get out of this house around Labor day. We’ll have about 4 weeks to kill, so we’re planning on chilling in the RV. We’ll do a long camping trip down the coast.

It’s still smoky here. I hope they get the fires under control soon.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and clear, well, dark, with a predicted high of 89 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I have an appointment with the doc at eleven a.m. which will include the vampires. Rah. On the up side I shall go to Hardee’s for N.O.L. and that always makes me happy. Due to a combo gnawin’ and cravin’ plus special deal, we shall sup upon majik intartoobz pizza. Thus shall be my day.

red yay on the new wheelz! Hope co-irker is doin’ OK.

sunny yay for the new digs comin’ along!

Time for more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must purtify and choose appropriate goin’ about the public attire. Alas and alack.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a clear 61 degrees outside, high of 79 today.

Don’t know what I am doing today. Still too blurfy.

I personally don’t spray, but standard advice is very early morning (best) or late evening (if you don’t get up crack o dawn). You want to get the bugs that are doing the damage, but not bees and things, and those are the times bees are less active. Plus the wind’s generally lower at dawn and dusk, so it’s less likely to blow onto neighbouring plants you don’t want to spray or just away. Also less scorch risk at those times, though that’s not normally a problem outside in the UK… Morning is probably better 'cos it’ll dry out faster.
Went to play with tiny plants again (fern spores mostly) yesterday. Was nice, but found out the lady who runs the unit is sorta retiring next week. She’s been there about 20 years, but implied they no longer have the funding to pay her… She’ll be there 2 days a week volunteering to finish off current projects at least, rather than 5 days paid as she has been and is hoping they’ll get a new funding source, but to employ a new person. I think she was almost ready to retire, but not quite. I hope they don’t wind up closing the facility, supposedly some other staff are going to take on some of it to try and fill the gap, but… :frowning:

Just waiting for bread to finish baking, then I’m going to go down the allotment for a bit. I have irk this evening
