I’ve never got why some people go nuts over bacon. It smells pretty nice, but tastes average at best.

I don’t think the Prius, at least 2010 forward, is overrated. I own two. They’re fantastic. Deliver as promised on the mpg, comfortable, high tech accessories. Not too expensive. What’s the downside?
Now, back to the OP. Overrated: New York City (as rated by New Yorkers at least), filet Mignon, micro brews, the NBA.
Ah! You totally snagged mine.
Bacon, totally.

9 out of 10 current TV shows. Especially ‘reality’ shows. I only know who most of them are because they’ve spread everywhere, like a virus, but I still don’t get what’s so fascinating.
Expensive coffee. I like coffee, I drink it to wake up, and I’m fine with the $3 a can store brand. Anything else, IMO, is an attempt to make money off the gullible, or the snobs who must have “the very best”.

Right now, seems like everybody’s wetting themselves over the anniversary of *The Sound of Music. * Well, OK. Good songs, interesting (mostly) true story. But the best ever, ever in the whole wide world?
Oh, and Disney World. I was taken there by the family some years ago, it was a very expensive vacation, and everyone was just squealing with glee (having been there before). I did have a good time, of course, but it was HOT, and we had to stand in line and wait ages to get on rides. Frankly, it was like being inserted into some kind of big plastic fun-machine where you had to have FUN, or else! I did have fun, yes, but I found a relaxing walk along the beach, looking for seashells, during part two of the trip, actually more ‘enjoyable’. (I’m a nature lover and disgruntled loner at heart, which may explain this.)
I have never heard of Bill Hicks, and yet he is mentioned by 3 of the first 14 respondents, so I guess I’ll google him. Even if he sucks, how overrated could he be if I’ve never heard of him? Maybe I’m just not as “up on things” as I should be? Hell, maybe I’m very overrated, then!
I have probably watched 10 or 15 full episodes of “Seinfeld” in my life, and I just can’t figure out the mass appeal that this show had for so many people.
