What does your user name mean?

Boofy bloke=a large-bodied, often hirsute, maybe-rugged adult male, esp. Australian (visual: Hagrid is boofy, Harry Potter is not).

Bowl of cream cheese

My username means this thread will get moved to IMHO or MPSIMS anytime soon.
It is also a character of Discworld.

Mine was a character I used in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign years ago that had an Egyptian motif. Ptahlis was my half-elven mage/cleric of Thoth.

I chose the name of a favorite painting of mine by A. Wyeth.

I don’t remember, but knowing me, it probably means I misspelled “cat” at some point.

Mine’s what was left off a friend’s T-shirt that was advertising his band, named after his mother’s Summer House.

(Yes, it was way back in the days of iron-on letters… and S-U-M had bitten the dust)

The band’s gone, the house is gone, the friend’s a friend, the mother’s a friend, and the name lives on

Roches means ‘speed’ in a language I made up. =]

…més queldanë chàiryo aernain rocheirn…
…tell me we can ride with an eagle’s speed…
(I can’t think of an example where it’s not declined.)

My old one is a type of cat. The Norwegian Forest Cat. It also contains half of my surname.

I won’t mention the current one

:sigh:

I meant to include my sig:

Mine speaks for its self…
you ass…

My first name. Jomo Mojo will be here shortly to provide the Sanskrit meaning.

I should clarify that my name doesn’t include the number in my nick.

I also officially recommend that there be a new forum devoted to such sticky threads like “What does your user name mean?” , “Scalar Weapons” “The Doper’s LotR” and such. To keep it in control, only mods can start threads there.

My last name is Barrow so…

I used to be registered but i forgot my old username…

I used to be registered but i forgot my old username…

It’s the nickname of my favorite hockey team, the Montréal Canadiens.

The General Questions forum is for factual questions. Polls and surveys go in IMHO, so I’ll move this thread over there.

Or not.

“David” means “beloved.” I chose it because I’m the world’s nicest guy (and you sonsabitches better agree - hear?). And it’s also easy for me to remember.
