I’m not familiar with Ms Fox at all, but let’s not kid ourselves about Ms Jolie’s skank factor and shit-for-brains attitude when she was 23ish years old. She still had BillyBob blood around her neck and tongue kissing her brother to look forward to at that age
Ruby, the nitpicking is intentional. A subjective thread such as this demands a level of needless scrutiny in order to get at the heart of why we don’t share the same opinions.
I am not this picky ordinarily, at least not consciously so. But ask me why I don’t like a specific person’s features, and any reply other than a blunt appraisal would be a lie; seriously giving me more credit than I am due.
In short - Shallowness is fun!
I agree, Clint Eastwood is sexy! I would be happy to repeat that statement in a thread dedicated to “famous people you find attractive”. Want to start it?
~S.P.I.~
Ha. Brilliant quote in that article; “I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard.” She does have a very vacant look about her.
Let’s be honest, though, if any of us got Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox we’d be high-fiving strangers.
I don’t get the appeal of George Clooney. I mean, he’s okay, but i don’t think he’s particularly handsome or sexy.
Well played.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.
Yes, but if we are entering MY fantasy of a cute guy on the phone, he wouldn’t be wearing anything close to those swim trunks. They jar me and detract from Clint’s (very) good looking face. I don’t mind his body one bit-I like men lean and lanky.
YMDV.
Just an above-average-looking busty gal, not hot.
Yeah, but see, it was me who was asked who I thought was hot, so your fantasties really don’t enter into it. I do think picking on the 3" of swimming trunks showing in that picture is the nonpareil of nitpicking. I only offered the photo as an example of the era of Mr. Eastwood’s life to which I was referring, though I needn’t have bothered, because I still think he’s sort of hot even now, pushing 80.
I realize the nitpicking is intentional, but what’s the point, really? I say I think Russell Crowe and Ewan MacGregor are not attractive to me, and that’s questioned. Why? It’s just a matter of taste. I’m not going to argue with the many people who’ve mentioned folks that I think are beautiful in this thread, because no amount of disputation from me is going to change their minds. I guess if I were the OP of a thread like this, I’d stipulate that people shouldn’t argue with other people’s choices, because they are entirely 100% subjective and as such, barely worthy of discussion.
Not to mention Spencer’s overwhelming douchiness.
Too thin, too glam, too glitz, too fashiony, too showbiz? Bu’bye.
I’ll make an exception for Chelsea Handler, 'cause she’s raunchy. Although at 42 and 5’10", I’m probably both too young and too tall for her.
Meg Ryan. I don’t understand why, but there’s just something about her that I’m not into, but I can’t put my finger on it.
Sarah Jessica Parker really does drive me wild, though—glamor shot or no.
I knew this thread would be surreal almost from the start, when I saw this:
Steve Buscemi is considered good looking?
When and in what alternate universe has Buscemi ever, EVER been touted by himself or others as being a hot fox? What in the world does he have to “get over”?
My brain, it hurts.
Ten bucks says it was a joke ;). His “funny-looking” thing has even been used as a plot point in movies.
Probably, but in this thread, it’s hard to tell. I mean, Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe* not drop-dead gorgeous? I hope those are jokes too.
Ya, I saw that one, Fargo, you betcha!
*at least, in non-glamor shots. The glamor shots of Marilyn make her look really really ugly. The non-glamor shots are, IMO, breathtaking, as I pointed out in this thread.
I wouldn’t call her “ugly” in any picture by any stretch of the imagination (in fact I find very few people “ugly” and it usually requires having an ugly personality.) But you’re right that Marilyn, like most women, looked better when not all dolled up. There are exceptions but in my opinion hair and makeup tends to give diminishing returns very quickly, and then it flat-out ruins your look. But even in the candid shots, while she does look pretty, I would not call Marilyn Monroe a great beauty. To compare a similar-looking woman, I think January Jones is a lot prettier. A lot.
Surprised nobody’s mentioned Anne Hathaway yet. I thought she was hot when I first saw her, but then I started seeing these weird proportion problems with her face, and now I can’t unsee them. An actress can have either huge anime eyes or succulent blowjob lips, but not both.
To me, Anne Hathaway is the prettiest woman working in Hollywood since Katie Holmes went crazy. I think her occasional aesthetical problems stem from the wrong person doing her hair and makeup. She does not need bangs or red lipstick under any circumstances. Barring those, she’s near flawless.
January Jones? For real.
Sure, she’s good looking. But she’s good looking in that college coed way (meaning you can find a woman just as good looking as her on any college campus without even trying) as opposed to movie mega star way (for an example of that, see Anne Hathaway).
Man, I couldn’t disagree more. I’m a people watcher (and a university student, incidentally), and I sure as hell don’t see people who look like January Jones very often. Marilyn, on the other hand, is exactly that to me. Very common looks.
Good lord. I AGREE with you that Eastwood is attractive; I merely dislike that particular pic of him. Of course my fantasies enter into it–FOR ME.
And that is what people are doing–stating what they like or dislike. I don’t see anyone castigating anyone else for not appreciating a certain choice etc. I see some puzzlement on some choices, but that is to be expected.
