What trend in fashion did you like, but is now out of style that you wish would come back? It could be clothes or hair style or grooming style or anything relating to fashion and/or the way people present themselves physically.
For me I miss denim jackets. I used to love them. I need to go out and get one. I also love Fedoras. I think I’ll go buy one and where it with my denim vest.

MINI SKIRTS! When I was in high school skirts were up to YE! and beyond, but we were so inured to it we didn’t notice all those fantastic legs traipsing around. By junior year the authorities had finally accepted pants on women, so our womenfolk (my wife has commented on how attractive the girls at my HS were) started going around in sewn-on bluejeans. While that meant we had a clearer idea of how perfect their bottoms were, I noted the irony that we first noticed their calves and thighs when they were covered by 1/8" of denim instead of .25mm of sheer nylon.
Peasant blouses with no bras was another favorite.
It’s not something everybody can wear. You need to have a certain look to pull it off, and it really only works if you dress it up appropriately, with a nice pair of boots and slim-cut selvedge.
Actually, I think current fashion is a lot better now than it was, say, ten years ago.
One thing I would like to see return is the sense of the Right clothes for the Right occassion, where different circumstances demand different styles. Something a bit more thought through than hot weather = less clothes, cold weather = more clothes.
I honestly think we’re really close to a Big Glasses revival. Not just those hipster glasses or aviator glasses we’ve seen in the past couple of years, but also those big honking 80’s secreterary glasses. They are due for a comeback.
Colors in men’s clothing. I’m so sick of everything being black, white, khaki, or washed-out-faded-blue. I don’t need to look like a circus tent, and I wouldn’t wear pink on a bet, but would it kill you to let us wear bright blues and greens, o Fashion Gods?
