Hats! For men especially. I lurrrrrrve men in hats, and I also like wearing female versions of men’s hats. I think I could rock some of the 1960s ladies’ hats quite well too.
In style or not - I would wear a hat more if I could easily find some to fit my gigantic head. I’ve come close to buying a few off the gigantic hat stores online, but they are costly enough that I want to try them on.
Please god NO!!! I’m still traumatized from having to wear those things 'til the mid-late 90’s when I was finally old enough to get a job and buy my own glasses. That was what I did with my first couple paychecks - I bought new glasses.
For me, I don’t really have any wishes for anything to come back, just for things to go away.
Skinny pants need to go away.
Swords. I think it would be cool for the “tough” look to be to wear a sword.
Jeans, T-shirt, sword. I love it.
I’ve seen people wearing fedoras and they’re easy to find in the stores. Go for it!
(admittedly, I know nothing about fashion and just wear what I like, so…)
Ivy caps, or newsboy caps. I started wearing one in January (looks much like this), and although I’ve seen a few other people near my age wear them, my friends and I agree that it makes me look like an old man. But that’s primarily because right now mostly old men wear them, and once you get past that I think it looks pretty good.
I love these. I think they look fantastic; I don’t know why more guys don’t wear them.
Did guys ever carry parasols? I’d love to carry a parasol around here in the summer.
I’ve seen a couple of young ladies wearing removable sleeves, and I hope it catches on again. Those were so cool, back in medieval times.
Oh, and capes.
I’ve seen gentleman hats amongst the younger in-crowd a couple of years. Think Justin Timberlake.
Of course, it would be greater to see them worn by older men. Older men, on the other hand, want to come off young.
Og does not love you, because you are a sinner.
I third mini-skirts and peasant blouses (not at the same time!)
Miniskirts went out? I have a couple of tiny, tiny skirts that I wear a lot.
Long skirts for women, brimmed hats for men.
I kinda wish the flight cap had never caught on in the Air Force. That thing is useless and flies away in a strong wind if you’re not careful. Maybe bring back the Kepi or a plume-less Shako hat for the dress uniforms?
Justin Timberlake also wears three-piece suits. Of course when you’re young, handsome, thin and rich, everything looks good.
Seconded. And girls can wear them too, in a little different style.
Summer weight (light weight) long pants for women. Were these ever in? If so, I want them to come back. I hate capri pants and need long pants that are appropriate for work, but don’t have to be dress pants. I love some of the styles and colors they make in capri pants, I just want them 6-10 inches longer.
Long skirts are back this season. I’d been waiting for them to return for years, and when I finally saw them showing up in stores, I went out and bought several.
What I wish would return to women’s fashion is colors that are not eye-meltingly bright. It’s practically impossible to find a top nowadays that is not an intense primary hue. I want to return to the 90’s when colors were muted.
NONONONONO. Denim jackets are hot male and female, but not with jeans. Ugh. With other pants.
Minis & peasant blouses at same time…so hot…
I wish avocado kitchen appliances would come back. Then I’d be stylin’ and would save a ton of money on my kitchen makeover.
