I think Sheldon Cooper (from Big Bang Theory) would last maybe a week and then be banned for not being able to resist shutting up whenever he thinks he’s right. All it would take is one mod note that he thinks is incorrectly given and he’d probably be banned that same day.
Is it against the rules to call other posters “phonies.” Over and over?
If so, Holden Caulfield would be banned before too long. If not, he’d be on a lot of people’s Ignore lists.
Archie Goodwin.
“I don’t like what you’re implying, pal; like I keep telling you, I’m asking for a friend who weighs a seventh of a ton. But since you enjoy casting aspersions on yours truly, how about I tell everyone who you are behind that alias? Yeah, I doped it out over an egg cream at the drug store, and in no time flat acquired an unflattering photo of you that I’d gladly make public. Also acquired an interesting photo of your wife; that one took no work, she just pressed it into my hand on her own initiative.”
Ignatius J. Reilly. In fact, although claimed to be entirely fictional, I can’t shake the feeling that he is posting on this board right this very minute.
Greg House, M.D.
MAJ Frank Burns, for continually opening up new threads on essentially the same topic.
Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham (the main characters in The Book of Mormon, the musical) for proselytizing aggressively.
Eric Cartman for unbelievably foul language.
PDQ Bach, for posting drunk, and insulting people.
Sterling Archer.
ETA: and yeah, I know there’s a user here with the username Sterling Archer. But I’m pretty sure he’s not the real Archer.
Daria. Too much unbridled pessimism.
Sorry, I have no idea why I typed the wrong friggin’ word when I meant something else.
Eddie Haskell.
Borat Sagdiyev
I don’t think Eric would be banned for foul language*, I think he’d be banned either for outright trolling or for having such extreme views (that he truly believes) that it’s just assumed he’s a troll since they might make sense to him but they are totally out of whack with anyone not in his head.
*If he was banned for foul language it would be a small slip at first, he’d be warned and then go on a ‘free speech’ tirade and throw in tons of foul language just because the thinks that free speech means he’s allowed to do…this is AMERICUH.
Also, the problem with banning Eric is that he’d probably hunt down the mod that did it and physically harm them. He does tend to take things one or two steps too far.
Archie Bunker.
Don Rickles.
Divine…the filthiest person alive
Don Rickles is fictional?
Darth Vader would not be banned.
Negan. Taking out posters with a verbal baseball bat is pretty jerkish.
He’d be right at home in the BBQ Pit.
(Also…who says he’s a fictional character? That’s like naming Sherlock Holmes. Much of the fun of “the game” is pretending he’s real!)
Doctor Doom: He’d get mod notes and warnings for posting in a repetitious fashion. “Doom says no! Did not Doom already decree, no? Hark to the word of Doom: no! Doom is not beholden to provide ‘cites.’”
Travis Bickle (“Are you replying to me?”)
Tyler Durden, for socking.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, for personal insults and “flaming” outside of the Pit.
Barney Fife, for starting too many threads about Glenn Ford and/or Juanita, and/or getting into too many arguments and flame wars about law enforcement.
Otis Campbell, for always posting while drunk.
Hawkeye Pierce, for constantly rambling on about ‘this damn war’, even when it is not at all the topic at hand.
Rocket Raccoon, just for being his ever flarkin’ colorful self.
Cliff Clavin, for being overly correcting and/or a threadshitter.
