What fictional characters have you fallen most in love with?

Faramir

Han Solo

CSI Nick Stokes

Sir Ulrich Von Lichtenstein of Gelderland

Jason Bourne

Achilles

How can I possibly be the first one to say Emma Peel? The ultimate woman.

Gambit, Havok, and Iceman from Marvel Comic’s X-Men.

Oberyn Martell, Jaime Lannister, Jaqen H’ghar, Jon Snow, and Sandor Clegane from George R.R. Martin’s *A Song of Ice and Fire * series. Preferably all together in a hot tub. Hell, throw Dany in there too.

David and Michael from Lost Boys. Kiefer Sutherland makes the mullet look sexy and Jason Patric bore an astonishing resemblance to a young Jim Morrison.

Word to **Hot Buttered Toast ** for Vash and Wolfwood. Hot hot hot.

On the bad guys side of things…

Sulla from McCullough’s *Masters of Rome * series. The ultimate bad boy crush. Gorgeous, mad, ambitious, violent, tragic, brillant, delicious Sulla.

Knives and Legato from Trigun. Yum.

Zaha Torte from Sorcerer Hunters. The only reason to watch that craptastic series was for His Hawtness, Zaha.

Magneto from X-Men. Damn, do you really need a reason?

Prince John from Elizabeth Chadwick’s The Champion. There’s this scene where he’s taking a bath, and asks the heroine if she was ever spanked by her mother. She says no, and he smiles and asks, “Because you were never naughty?”

Naraku and Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha.

Elrond from LOTR as played by the delectable Hugo Weaving. I am sorry, but he is so…yummy…::sigh::

bobkitty - Well, except for the height thing, I think Viggo Mortensen would be a good choice. He’s an internal actor, quiet but powerful. He’s got an interesting accent that’s hard to place, which would fit in with St. Germain’s background. I know his colouring should be darker, but hair dye could help with that. Since a shorter actor would be good, maybe Elijah Wood would grow into the role someday, but I don’t know that he’s there yet.

Who would you like to see?

StG

Far and away…Marge Simpson. Nearly everything she does drives me wild.

In fact, even the annoying stuff she does makes me like people who do the things she does…because she does them. That’s one of the good definitions of being in love.

Um…Cutter from the Elfquest graphic novels. Really!

Scully from X-Files
Bailey from WKRP in Cincinatti.

O.K., that one creeps me out.

Lisa Hayes from Robotech. Even as a little boy, I knew Minmei was nothing more than a petulant, shallow, self-centered bitch in pretty clothes. But Lisa had brains, good looks, guts, and was the first officer of the ship. Rick wasn’t good enough for her, really; the poor dumb bastard almost lost her.

Later on it was Rook Bartley. She was tough as nails, and would put a hole in your head if you tried anything funny, buster.

Penny from Inspector Gadget. She was about my age, and she solved all the cases with Brain and her supercool computer book.

I’ll second Anna Paquin’s Rogue from the X-Men movies.

Whatever Alison Lohman’s character’s name is at the end of Matchstick Men. That moment of vulnerability in this otherwise headstrong, intelligent (not to mention beautiful) character really got to me in that kinda way.

And…um…Sailor Mercury
SHUT UP! I was thirteen, okay? And I’ve always had a thing for geeky girls. Can I help it if it lasted? It’s not like I watch the stupid show anymore. You know, unless there’s nothing good on. I certainly don’t own the entire series as AVI files on ten CDs. Okay, I do, but it cost two dollars and I got it to give to my friend as a gag birthday present and he gave it back. It’s not like I’ve watched it. Much. Just one or two episodes. Really.

…what? Shut up!

 :o

Oh yes! She was my first thought when I saw the thread. Kids these days have no taste! :stuck_out_tongue:

For second choice, I could agree with WKRP’s Bailey, although Sydney Fox from Relic Hunter is right up there too, and I always liked Tasha Yar from STNG. I also have to think highly of Falco’s lady friend from the novels by Lindsey Davis. (Dammit, i can’t emember her name. It’s been a while.)

Stephanie Plum, unfortunately, would have to fall back to third rank, after her sidekick Lula. (OK, it’s strange, but I like her style.)

Of course there are many more.

Hmmm… Viggo would be nice, but it would have to be soon as he’s rapidly aging out of the part. In about 15 years or so, Orlando Bloom could probably pull it off (Yarboro is so obsessed with Germain’s hands, and you have to admit Orli has lovely hands). In fact, all the younger actors I might pick for the part (Joaquin Phoenix, Jude Law, Ewan McGregor) need to put some years on them (age and acting-wise) to be able to properly portray our Count.

You see the conundrum?

Whaaaat? Near omnipotence, sarcastic, likes to f&^% around with people… what more could you ask?

OHH Q!

Absolutely! You get the feeling that he would show you a REAL good time, even at the expense of a planet or two!

I like Geordi as well. That visor is so mysterious.

I had a thing for vampires the last time there was a thread like this but I’ve outgrown that!

Ditto on Mr. Darcy
Jamie Fraser from The Outlander series
Hawkeye from Last of the Mohicans (movie starring Daniel Day-Lewis version)
Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Charlie from “Party of Five”
William Wallace from “Braveheart”
Joe Morelli from the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich

I’ve been in love with Aragorn (from the books) for many years. I second Benton Fraser. Narl, from *Spindle’s End.

I’m not in love with Jamie Fraser but I love rereading the Outlander series because he seems so authentically married. It feels like a real, stable, long-lasting romance, with plenty of exasperation and forgiveness.

I may be in love with Constantine, from Robin McKinley’s new book Sunshine. Eerie vampire otherness plus endearing awkwardness.

From movies and TV:
Indiana Jones, the ultimate adventure hero.
Wolverine of X Men. Strange, I usually don’t go for hairy mutant types.
Duncan McLeod from the Highlander series. Nuff said.
Cole (the Mighty Balthazar) from Charmed, who later went to Nip/Tuck
Spike from Buffy. Hey, bad boys can be fun.
Wesley fron Buffy/Angel. Not often you get a quiet brainy type is is also cute AND a badass in a fight.

From books:
Vanyel Ashkevron, the whole ultimate power yet vulnerable thing.
King Arthur. How can you resist someone so filled with goodness and yet so human?
Suntop, Mender, Dart from EQ. How can you say no, to someone so cute who insists on flouncing around half naked?
On the other hand, Mrs Emma Peel, Seven of Nine and Xena are hot too. Must be the leather

Yet another Darcy-phile checking in - I love both Fitzwilliam and Mark, especially as played by Colin Firth. I’m also a big Nightcrawler fan, but I prefer the comic book version to the movie version.

Lissla Lissar - I’m not sure about Constantine, but Mel is pretty much unbeatable. Con is cool, too, but I don’t know about the whole vamp complexion thing.

How could I have forgotten?

Velma. You can keep Daphne. Gimme some of that Velma.

Hah! Someone else has read it! Yay! Maybe it’s just that Rae is a frenetic baker, but I love that book. I think it’s the way Con is trying so hard with Rae that makes me love him. Mel is really cool, but somehow he’s not my type.

I forgot Colonel Brandon, played by Alan Rickman. I love him too.
