What fictional characters have you fallen most in love with?

Speaking of wrong on so many levels, is there anyone else here who thinks that Tenniel’s Alice would be world-level amazing upon reaching majority?

Alice Pleasance, herself, didn’t turn out to be as stunning upon adulthood, but her photograph still shows the strong personality that Alice in Wonderland had (or maybe it was just having to keep still for a Victorian-era photo :))

How this thread managed to make three pages with no mention of Kitty Pryde is beyond me.

Could one of the Nymphadora Tonks fans please explain to me the appeal? I don’t get it. All we see of her in the book thus far amounts to “Oh, and this is Nymphadora Tonks, and she’s another member of the Order. Tonks, this is Harry.”.

Not at all. For example, we know she’s clumsy. And something of a troublemaker back in her school days. And she has a playful, whimsical personality.

And can change her appearance.

And I thought I was the only one!

He makes me melt. Fishy, yet so elegant and articulate. Sigh.

Oh, and sorry, but…he already asked me out.

From TV:

Spike - BTVS
Giles - BTVS
Grissom - CSI
Jack Malone - Without a Trace

Movies:
Benedick (a la Kenneth Branagh)
Severus Snape (not the book Snape–only the movie Snape!)
Ron Weasley if I were a LOT younger

Books:
Rhett Butler (Scarlett had no taste whatsoever. Ashley Wilkes was a wimp!)

Marcus Didius Falco

I’ll second you on Marcus. I’d want Marcus for a husband/life partner, but first I’d want to bang his friend Lucius Petronius until he was powerless to move.

Same goes for Legolas, although elves might have a lot more staying power than I do. Haldir would be gorgeous for a fling, too.

I’d also second Tim Canterbury from The Office. Tasty. Can’t believe no one’s mentioned Xander Harris from BtVS – what can I say? OMG! I love geeky guys. I dunno exactly why they’re both hot, but they are just smoking.

I’ll third Joe Morelli. Give-me-some-of that. Not too sure if I could put up with his chauvinist BS for more than a fling, though.

Also, a big vote for Nate Fisher on Six Feet Under. I’ve only seen the first couple of seasons, but he’s yummy and oh-so-sensitive. A keeper.

I’ll third Indiana Jones, Wesley from the Princess Bride, and Darcy from either Pride & Prejudice (movie or book) and Frederick Wentworth from Persuasion (movie).

You can keep your Weasleys – okay, I’d have a fling with either of the twins, but Ron’s not my type. I’d want Harry Potter all to myself, thanks, even though he’s hopeless with girls. Maybe more of the geeky attraction thing.

Also, Cameron Crowe from Almost Famous. Fox Mulder from the X-files.

Love dem geeky men.

Mrs. Furthur

Two very different characters from Babylon 5. Michael Garibaldi, or Marcus Cole. And if Vir Cotto wasn’t a different species, I’d consider him too.

I find it extremely gratifying that Han Solo is the only character that has no need of explaination or introduction.

I love Fred from Angel, but not as much as Illyria.

Kaylee from Firefly is a given and in that same vein, Gadget from Rescue Rangers.

Early Willow, or as I like to think of her: Oz Willow. Oh hell, throw Oz on the list too.

Jania “Sticks” Solo from the Star Wars Books (I mean look at the pedigree: Amidala, Leia…cough* Han* cough)

And Topanga Lawrence from Boy Meets World. Again the early one, before she went all mainstream. Sweet, sweet Topanga.

This list is qucikly becoming somehting I need to bring to my next therapy session.

Ditto, without the ship visit. I do have the cookbook, though.

1 of all time anywhere, no contest: My Spiky from Buffy.

In literature, OWEN MEANY!

Hmmm.I shall be locked away soon but…

Hermione Granger(HP)
Pandora Braithwaite(Adrian Mole)
Lisa Simpson

Farscape;

Chiana; love her independent “i don’t take dren from anyone” attitude, and her sense of humour is offbeat and quirky
Aeryn Sun; strong, independent, powerful
P’au Zotoh Zhann; calm, serene, spiritual

i also loved Troi in my younger days, part of it was her unidentifiable accent
also from Trek;

Khey’ler; loved the Klingon temper mixed with offbeat human humor
B’Elanna Torres; i guess it’s that Klingon independent streak that gets me
Kes; such a passsion for life
aside from the obvious…points…i never really got into liking “The Comfy Borg” (7 of 9)

What? No one’s mentioned Rosemary Shanahan from the Greatest Movie of the Millennium yet?

Obi-Wan Kenobi-maybe it’s just because Ewan McGregor is so yummy?

Colonel Brandon from Sense and Sensibility

My first crush was Luke Skywalker, but I think that’s because my sisters were all already fighting over Han, Now I’m definitely going for Han Solo. Luke’s a little too whiny for me.

Mr. Rochester(in any version, book, movie, I don’t care)
Q (It hadn’t really occured to me, but yeah, he’s definitely up there on the list, just my type.)
Rupert Giles
Jack O’Neill from Stargate SG-1(and I think I’m the first one to mention him too. He’s my latest crush, and what a fun one it is.)
-Lil

Edward Fairfax Rochester

Master Robinton

John Steed

Remington Steele

Duncan Macleod

Michael from “La Femme Nikita”

Vincent from “Beauty and the Beast” (and possibly Father, shut up)

Emma Peel was a good call. Bailey is right up there too.
But the discussion is over with the mention of Jessica
