A quick Ctrl-F search tells me that no one has mentioned Brian Griffin.
What about Snoopy?
Norman Desmond would be fun.
The children’s lit character Freddy the Pig would fit right in here. Mmm yeah, definitely.
You make a good point about his character. Then again, he’s a very bright man and a scientist, so I figured he would be well-prepared with cites or original research.
True, except that people here seem to be on to the whole secret identity thing. I don’t think he’d enjoy that.
Jack Valentine (Ethan Hawke) from Lord of War strikes me as another kind of guy who’d fit in well, distressingly so, at times.
Oddly enough, by the same token, I thought he’d work well in a number of superhero teams, to boot.
Yes.
Victor Frankenstein’s religion was Science (capital “S”; right?); and in my opinion that was the biggest part of his hubris. He thought he was totally in control and tried to second-guess Nature and it turned out he couldn’t.
On the other hand, Dr. Van Helsing was willing to believe, as Guy De Maupassant said, that we do not see the hundredth million part of what exists… that was Dr. Van Helsing’s strength.
Van Helsing’s belief in things unseen and his faith in what he instinctively felt was right enabled him to triumph in the end. His humility in the face of an ineffable God and an unfathomable universe made him strong.
I’m sorry, but I’m lost. This wasn’t in the story. Is this from a graphic novel? If so, it sounds cool!
Dude, you got me lost as well.
What the hell are all of you people talking about?
Maybe I need to get out more.
Heh. It’s from the Hellsing manga. It’s very cool. And bloody and violent. But cool.
