I have always thought that the character from whom I have taken my username would have been a wonderfully entertaining (and probably short-lived) troll somewhere on these boards.
What’s the name of Adrian Monk’s brother? Can’t google it, but he’d be a good candidate. His responses in GQ might get a tad encyclopedic, but nobody would be able to accuse them of being incomplete.
Barbara Gordon is Commissioner Gordon’s daughter (Commissioner Gordon being Batman’s connection and occasionally friend in the Gotham police force). She was formerly Batgirl, until she took a bullet to the spine which she has somehow not miraculously recovered from. Instead, she became a superhero-level computer hacker named Oracle. She basically knows everything about everything and could out-tough-guy the Internet Tough Guys as well.
I don’t think she’d bother out-toughing internet tough guys. I mean, she used to be a superhero; her best friend is Black Canary; she used to sleep with Dick Grayson and, in some continuities, Bruce Wayne; and she has Clark Kent’s home phone number. Virtual tough guys would at best amuse her.
Oh come on. Once Venkman (Bill Murray’s character from Ghostbusters to those who don’t recognize the name) discovered internet porn do you really think he’s going to spend any time here on the Dope?
I was reading about a new BBC series called Sherlock, where the characters are updated to modern day. In it Watson is still a military doctor wounded in Afghanistan. He posts their adventures to his blog.
Mr. Universe in Cafe Society or The Pit would be a blast.
“There is no news. There is only the truth of the signal. What I see. And, there’s the puppet theater the Parliament jesters foist on the somnambulant public.”
