Incidentally, I think newbies should always be complimented when they seem cool. TVeblen nominated me for rookie of the month when I joined and I’ve never forgotten it. I was so thrilled!

Newbies are always good for a laugh when they unknowingly break laws and have the mods come down on them like Thor himself.
Somehow I never was a newbie. I can’t explain it. But even in my first post, which start a thread in GQ got 11 replies, 6 of which were from the 99 gang, and not one of them noticed it was my first post and welcomed me. In fact I’ve never been welcomed which can only mean that I’ve never made a newbie mistake, only old timer mistakes. Wow, maybe I channeled some an original poster?
Oh, and since I’ve posted worthy posts to 6 threads you can’t welcome me anymore, I’m out of that phase.
You know, maybe it will be more fun and apropos to call them pupae? Just a thought.
