Made birthday banners and hung crepe streamers for my husband’s best buddy’s surprise birthday party. Put the toddler down for her nap (she didn’t fall asleep). Attended the party. Came home and gave the toddler chocolate milk. Now we’re all watching football.
That’s all. Not a big day.
Spent 3 hours cleaning rat mess out of the boat. I’d forgotten and left a small container of catfish bait in it several weeks ago, and due to work, death in the family, weather, etc. it stayed in the shed for almost 4 weeks. The rats found the container and made a horrific mess. Spent 1 hour assembling my patented rat-elimination kit and placing it in the boat shed (sheets of thin plywood, each with a ring of glue traps affixed to the wood, and yummy bait in the middle… gets 'em every time). To celebrate the now-cleaned deck, I took the boat out and spent about 4 hours fishing (and enjoying adult beverages, and listening to books-on-tape, and hoping the fish wouldn’t bother me) :).
Got up very early.
Drank some coffee; ate some yogurt.
Sat in the car (along with the Kiddo) while Suburban Plankton drove from Sacramento to Disneyland.
Went to Disneyland.
Checked into our hotel.
Now checking the Dope while we’re all taking a bit of a break before heading back to the parks.
Went for lunch at Red Lobster (they’re prices are much more reasonable for a lunch than a dinner), went shopping for Halloween supplies, got on the exercycle for 40 minutes, and now I’m watching, “In The Line of Fire.” I have making supper, cleaning up a bit, and going for a walk pencilled in for later today.
Watched Elysium. Meh.
Sat outside in the back yard with my daughter and read a Magic School Bus book about insects together. It was more interesting than Elysium.
Heated canned soup and reheated leftover grilled chicken for dinner.
Now I’m about to relax and unwind from this tough day with ice cream and Pacific Rim.
Drove the final leg of our four day outing to Roseburg, then over to Bandon on the Oregon coast, then up to Newport for the jazz thing they do every year, and back to PDX. Beautiful weather on the coast, had a couple of excellent dinners and watched the sunset in Newport. Heard some good jazz, including Houston Person and local bassist John Clayton, who is an astoundingly good bass player.
Haven’t done shit since I got home other than try out the new (to me) amp and guitar. Freeway driving is exhausting.
Got most of the recycling out, including going through the old mail and separating into recycling and trash. Went grocery shopping and put gas in the car. Got the laundry done, watched the 1 PM NFL games on RedZone, watched the Broncos game, made an apple pie.
I sold eight planters today.
Drank 2 cups of coffee and talked to my mother on the phone. I’m done in.
I slept in til three this morning, then drank a bunch of coffee and went shopping for a few things.
Then I helped my husband split and stack a mess of firewood.
I met a weight goal so I treated myself to an In-n-out cheeseburger. I enjoyed it very much.
Now I’m going to watch SNL on the DVR. I’m pooped.
Mucked around some on Great Debates, and went for a Sunday drive to explore a corner of town I’d never been in before. Otherwise, pretty much bugger all.
Gonna try to write a chapter on a story tonight. Try.
(“Try or try not; there is no ‘do.’” Yoda was an idiot.)
Got up early with the dogs so the Druidess could sleep in.
Watched my Saints notch another victory, this one on the road over the Bears.
Took a nap.
Watched Tony Romo choke yet again, as Peyton Manning and the Broncos won a shootout in Dallas.
About to feed the dogs, eat supper, and watch the 49ers-Texans on SNF.
Got up earlier than I wanted.
Drank some coffee.
Showered. Went to some stores. Bought things. Returned things I bought earlier.
Got some awesome sandwiches for dinner.
Repotted a plant.
Paid some bills.
On Dope while eating greek yogurt and honey.
All in all, not a terrible way to spend a Sunday.
Now going to bed to read and fall asleep. Early start tomorrow.

Three litterboxes cleaned. OK, two are disposables that I simply replaced, but the one plastic one was dumped and scrubbed. Floors swept. Three loads of laundry done. One dishwasher load in process. Watched several episodes of Supernatural. Took some moving boxes over to my in-laws house and checked their mail. Trimmed one cat’s nails. Gave another cat his meds.
Washed my blanket. Filed away some newspaper articles, finally. Worked on a piece of music (still not finished.) Worked on a music arrangement (still not finished.) Worked on crafts (still not finished.)
Worked on stuff all day, and things still aren’t finished. sigh
I made a recurve bow from a stave of osage orange. The mess is still there. Cooked my own breakfast, lunch and now dinner.
I played bass at two church services this morning. Then I installed two chandeliers, in my living room and dining room. I played guitar and sang at a church service this evening. I just finished the New York Times crossword puzzle from February 4, 1998 on my iPad.
