Yesterday:
Went to church.
Went to lunch, and it was (mostly) free, courtesy of my friend.
Helped daughter get one step closer to becoming employed.
Made dinner that everyone liked.
Didn’t drink.
Watched season 2 of Breaking Bad
did a load of laundry
cleaned kitchen
cleaned my bedroom
sorted through all the papers on the coffee table, wrote a cheque, swore at government websites for being difficult to navigate
made dinner - roast chicken, chips, salad
drove to bus stop 20 minutes away to see if the book my daughter left there was still there, but it wasn’t
Would you mind fixing the whole US political system while you’re at it? That would be super.

[li]I attended a demo of a SW tool[/li][li]helped plan out the next “Agile Scrum Sprint” for a sub-team on my program[/li][li]picked up my new (receive only) text pager. Now my home automation system can finally contact me at work (it texts me, but at work I’m not allowed to carry my phone). [/li][li]started assembling a list of “OS Isolation Layer” APIs which were not delivered by the program that was supposed to deliver it to us (because they used Agile Scrum as well)[/li][li]started tutoring someone on my team about radar basics and multitarget tracking[/li][li]did two loads of laundry[/li][li]programmed the dishwasher to wash dishes sometime around 2:00 AM[/li][li]started a print on my 3D printer (a pedestal for a bust of Yoda I’m giving someone; all 3D printer owners are legally required to print busts of Yoda, (THANKS, OBAMA))[/li][li]spent more time refining the 3D model of my Iron Man helmet, though the rest of the costume will be made of foam rubber[/li][li]ate two DELICIOUS leftover carnitas tacos from the weekend, a banana, a chocolate bar and a cup of yogurt, though not all at one sitting.[/li][li]Watched the blind auditions for The Voice[/li][li]I need to dig out my corporate credit card by tomorrow morning to reserve a spot in a class[/li][/ul]
Having to do something vaguely work related after 11:00 PM is irritating, and thus justifies the ice cream I’m about to eat, straight out of the container because dammit, that’s the way I roll. However, I just went to my freezer and saw a burrito-ish Samosa wrap, and I’m going to eat that first. Again; I’m a rebel.
HOLY CRAP! THAT WAS MY THOUSANDTH POST!!!
What do I win? Where’s Ed McMahon?

I love a thread like this. 'Cause I’m just nosey, I guess.
Would appreciate some detail on these sandwiches.
“Slept in” til 3 AM? Then went shopping… to a 24-hour Wal-Mart?
Yes, three am. My sleep pattern has changed a lot. I don’t mind though. I just have more time for the dope.
I waited for a decent hour for the shopping. But only because I have to.
That’s easy, just roll out the guillotines. I suggested this loudly in 2008 but did people listen? Now look at where we are . . . if aren’t going to hold them accountable for what they did in 2008 then we have no one to blame but ourselves for the present situation.
OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
Slept in until 8:30 thanks to the new thermal/blackout curtains in the bedroom
Did a load of laundry
Replaced the belt on my vacuum cleaner
Missed the garbage truck, which always comes at 2 pm, escept for the week I sleep in
Went to the mall to pay our Verizon bill, only to find that my husband paid it already (yay!)
Finished listening to “Joyland” on Audible
Ate tasty but bad-for-me stir fry at a Japanese place in the food court
Went to the hospital to visit my husband
Ate tasty and good-for-me grilled chicken sandwich in the hospital café
Pestered hubby’s doctors for information
Came home, loved the dogs & was tolerated by the cats
Roger that.

[li]Slept too late (until 6:20 instead of slogging outta bed at 6 a.m.).[/li][li]Got the kids to school.[/li][li]Worked all day (involved about 7 hours worth of meetings and a few precious minutes to work, which resulted in additional scheduled meetings for next week). [/li][li]Managed to miss my son’s tae kwon do, but also managed to have dinner on the table when my husband got home with the kids from tae kwon do.[/li][li]While they were gone, also managed to take out the trash, unload and re-load the dishwasher and wash some dishes.[/li][li]Worked out (but only a bit - had a vicious cold last week, so still in dry cough stage)[/li][li]About to make lunches for tomorrow, then go to bed because I feel really good when I actually sleep.[/li][/ul]
