As one of the few who quit while I was relatively sober, I should mention that while Tir, Angua, ianzin et alia were busily depleting the bar stock, I had long and interesting conversations with both Heloise (especially before those pints kicked in) and pingalondon. It is possible to have an intelligent discussion at a Dopefest; you just have to pick your chatting companions carefully.

“Person-in-red-scarf”? I’ll have you know that’s my wife you’re talking about there. Her name is Ann (she’s actually registered under the nom-de-keyboard Kicker but has never posted, preferring to shout helpful suggestions at me from the couch at the other side of the living room).
Bonus points will be awarded to anyone who can remember why she’s called Kicker (the story of which has been related somewhere on the SDMB in the distant past).

ianzin, I would just like to say that I’m in fits of hysterics at the moment - those photos, (as well as the captions) are great - its a good job that none of my office mates are in at the moment, or they’d all want to see. 
BTW - I think a new sig line might be in order - any ideas?
Oh, I would also like to point out that I got upgraded to Club Class on the train on the way home.
