What idiosyncratic "fashion" quirks are you prone to?

Inspiring post (which I disagree with, most folks probably do buy based on deeply subjective factors).

I know I do. Almost every article of clothing I own is blue, usually sky or deep sea blue, my favorite colors. When I am in a clothing store, my eye naturally gravitates towards those shades, and off I go.

You?

Layering. I consider an outfit to consist of three pieces – the bottom, the inner top, and the outer top. Unless the external temperature is over 80 degrees F, I would never wear only one piece on top, even if it had long sleeves. About 80% of the time, I’m wearing two long-sleeved pieces: button-down shirt and jacket; long-sleeved t-shirt and cardigan; long-sleeved knit top and pullover sweater, etc.

If clothes look like they could be period costume, I love them.

I have a denim pinafore that secretly reminds me of a viking dress, ( this is not me, and my dress has modern clasps, but you get the idea)

I love to wear long warm dresses and skirts in winter. And I also like to wear, as my friend calls them, “loose pieces of fabric wrapped around stuff and flowing from wherever”.

If the clothes could be sold in a museum shop, I want them. This is me ( the blond one) in authentic Iron Age clothing, last summer, in a Danish open air museum where we vacationed as historical re-enactors.

Being Aspergers, I tend to wear pretty much the same thing all the time. Jeans, construction boots, a short sleeved button shirt, snap-brim cap… Nothing conspicuous or attention-getting, but I do allow my shirt colors to vary, even including plaid…
