Sounds good, but, I like to take the quick route. For her birthday, I give her a new broom, an can of Pledge, a bottle of Windex, a container of laundry soap. Then, I recognize her worth as a person, and explain to her that I understand her battle with weight, and that if she were to quit the bonbons and TV, and get up and clean, she would have that fresh-as-a-daisy house that she wants. This drives her wild.

Authenticity and integrity, sense of humour and depth of character. From these things stem that elusive confidence everyone loves to refer to. These things cannot be bought or faked. Affectation of such is pretty easy to spot, for most people, in my opinion.
Women develop pretty good spidey sense, early in life, in regards to being treated like prey, in my experience.

The real question is “what’s attractive?” This question is independent of gender because in the end we’re all pretty much attracted to the same basic things (with variations of course).
The easiest example, and the most obvious, is that we’re attracted to people who are fun to look at. A fit body is very nice and easy to get with good diet and exercise habits (admittedly those habits are very hard to maintain!). Good grooming and personal style go a long ways towards being pleasing to look at as well.
But looks aren’t everything, and for many they’re not the most important. There are many other things people are attracted to.
People are attracted to people who are interesting to watch. Athletes and actors are big examples here since people shell out big money to watch them. Any activity where you are entertaining people and they go out of their way to watch is extremely attractive.
People are attracted to leaders. Teachers, coaches, mentors. This is the very definition of confidence. If you are good at something put it out there and share it with others.
People are attracted to producers. Are you artistic? Then paint. Are you a good cook? Then make dinner. Fix up your yard. Make your house look neat with a lot of little personal touches. Just do something that people will be interested in hearing about and sharing with their friends.
People are attracted to the people other people are attracted to. If you do something that other people find interesting and fascinating and are talking about then that is naturally something that people want to know more about.
People are attracted to people who make their friends jealous. Ok, maybe not jealous but people love talking about the person they’re dating and knowing that their friends are impressed with your feats and accomplishments. It’s fun feeling like we have a great catch!
If you want to attract attention from the opposite sex, then the most sure fire way to do so is to do the things listed above. When you become attractive yourself then people will be drawn to you like a moth to flames.

We are not all attracted to the same things as a species. Saying this alone tells me you are female . Men are sexuallyattracted to looks primarily. Women seem to like looks but also attracted to a more full package.

You are incorrect. I am not female, and while men are initially attracted to looks (especially when we’re in High School) most of us mature and look at a fuller package as well. I have no problem attracting “females” and was sharing some of what I know works. If you want to attract girls, steps 1, 2, and 3 is to be attractive.
But everything I said applies to men too. The women I’m most attracted to are ones that I think are fun to watch because they’re active, and ones who are confident, interesting, and creative. While I very much care that a woman I’m with takes care of herself and cares about her appearance - actual “looks” are a bit further down the line behind the less tangible things.
I will tell you this - if all you care about is a girl who is hot and you want to learn the magic words to drop her panties - good luck.
