Just be a real man, and admit that your post was homophobic.
Or are you too much of a queer to do so?

nevermind
He’s a closet conservative. Someday he’ll come out.
Worse, he’s a closet Packers fan and all that hatred is really the anguish of not being able to come out.
Wow, Dio making an “I hate you, you’re all homosexuals” insult. That I didn’t see coming. The Jerry Springer show continues! When do we start throwing chairs at each other?
And the butter-wouldn’t-melt-in-his-mouth “How so?” was classic, you have to admit. Mainly because in this fucking thread, he got Aji de Gallina to actually explain why. He made Ají de Gallina look, that dirty crook, he stole his mother’s pocketbook! This thread is so meta…
I didn’t either. Though often a bullheaded idiot, I never thought Dio would be one to make such remarks. I was wrong.
If you do that, you get mod-noted.
Only Dio is allowed to engage in the Dio Show.
Fortunately my motivation to execute that great plan lasted about as long as seeing 2 more of Dio’s posts.
Then I threw up a little bit.
And that’s the tragedy of the whole fucking thing.
The powers that be won’t do shit about Dio.
Hell, do they even ever bother to warn (even unofficially) the fucker to knock it off or take a break for that matter once in awhile?
I could use a “fuck you” or “cunt” just a few times and have my ass permanently banned. And how much actual disruption to the board would that cause compared to the swath of discussional distruction this asshole causes?
About the only thing they do to control the Dio Show is lock the damn thread when it gets outa control. Which sure is the bee’s knees for the folks who were in that thread or interested in reading it
Well, you can consider it two ways;
1> Dio is a special case and it would take them too much effort to reign him in, or
2> Dio is a “special” case and should be given as much credence and engagement as a mentally retarded poster, because he obvioiusly is not capable of ordinary adult discourse.
And that may well be the reasons why things are the way they are. Which are both bullshit in my opinion.
Too much work to reign in? Ban his ass if he won’t shape up. No work involved there. They don’t have any trouble banning other folks for much less. Hell, they still have a guy that was a reasonable poster that been banned for years because he created a sock (for good and moral reasons). If they can’t be bothered to put in a modicum of effort to make a special case for him, I don’t see why Dio gets a pass.
Dio is a mentally retarded poster? Fine, the poor guy has problem. But for the love of God, drag his ass outa a discussion one way or another if he is having one of his episodes.
I would like a mod to chime in here and answer or at least touch on the following questions (at the risk of being asked to redirect things to ATMB):
Which is more imporant, adhering to the spirit of the rules, or the letter? That is, who is more worthy of a banning/suspension, someone who explicitly breaks a few of the hard-and-fast rules a handful of times, or someone who constantly violates the “don’t be a jerk” overarching principle over and over, but who never quite crosses that fuzzy line into explicit rule-breaking?
Is it really possible that you think so little of your message board members that you feel the need to keep around an inveterate jerk “just because” they keep the post counts churning and thus the ad revenue? If that is really the case here I don’t see why I should continue to patronize your establishment, if there really are two sets of rules at work here depending on how “valuable” you feel someone is.
I’d appreciate some feedback on #1 at least, as #2 is admittedly more than a little provocative (but this is the Pit, after all).
For #1, it doesn’t appear that the moderators are reluctant to spend the effort to reign in other posters whose behavior or patterns are found to be generally obnoxious or disruptive. There was or is one poster who would regularly post in relationship threads about how he would never have a girlfriend, never be loved, et cetera, who was unofficially and then officially warned by the moderation for “hijack[ing] other people’s threads with your depressive comments.” While his behavior was somewhat obnoxious and could certainly be interpreted as jerkish in its extent, he was in no way as disruptive or pernicious as Diogenes the Cynic, and yet I can’t find a single instance of the latter being officially warned, and only very soft touches of even being put on notice for his pattern of disruption that is so apparent that it has a recognized name.
As for #2, it is very clear that while Diogenes the Cynic is a terminal jerkoff case, he clearly isn’t an idiot. He very carefully gauges how far to go in pushing other people’s buttons and then withdrawing into an auto-persecution mode, claiming that everyone who takes issue with him just can’t handle the truth, and then resorting to a series of rapid fire assertions in which he pretends to have the intellect of a three year old playing the passive-aggressive game of “What, what did I do?” with adults as a way of showing control over others. But while he pretends to be a Village Idiot, his pattern indicates a very coy manipulation of others. “The Terminator of assholes,” indeed.

I do not troll. There is no such thing as the “Dio Show.” All of these pit threads are bullshit based on nothing.
Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that. From what I’ve heard, they’re already releasing Season 1 on DVD.
Hi, Me Too. I was wondering where you’d been.
He’s the smartest dumb poster here. Or the dumbest smart one.
Obviously this place is very important to his life, otherwise he would’nt spend so much damn time and effort here.
If he had an ounce of fucking sense he would straighten up and fly right.
But, like the asshole redneck who wins the lottery, there will be a certain joy in seeing his ass finally fuck up and loose all what he has because he just would not fucking listen to reason.
It’s spelled “lose.” You want to see me “Lose all what I have” (whatever that means). not “loose” it. To “loose” something would mean to let it go free, like a dog.
Guin, I hate to ride your strap, but I want to thank you for being funny as hell lately.
I would pay thousands of dollars to have *that *on DVD.
