What is the best brand of toilet paper?

Angel Soft.

Cause it contributes about $65k to our household income each year.

Member’s Mark from Sam’s Club. 36 rolls for about $14 and being single, I got a whole year from one package.

Royale, followed by Shoppers Drug Mart brand.

I hate Charmin, it’s too thick and soft and fluffy. I’d use it as a pillow, but not as toilet paper.

Scott or the store brand equivalent. The double rolls last forever, it’s not like wiping your nether regions with the aforementioned pillow and there’s no powder or scent to irritate the girly bits (that’s important!).

Kirkland toilet paper from CostCo.

I recently discovered the WalMart store brand andd it’s WONDERFUL. Nice & soft, absorbant, don’t have to use much… the perfect toilet paper and it’s CHEAP too. How does it get better than that??

I do not keep track of what I buy when I buy it. I tend to buy the largest package available (I don’t imagine TP will ever be obsolete). I would definitely shy away from whatever it is they fill the dispensers on the PA Turnpike with.

Kirkland’s Best, the generic brand at CostCo. I love it! It’s soft and durable. And cheap! It’s a cheap asswiper. I really wish they’d buy some for work, they’ve changed up the grit on the current batch of ‘paper’ in the bathroom.

I normally buy Angel Soft, but based on EvilTOJ’s comment and the fact that I’m going to Costco today anyway, I’ll probably pick up some Kirkland’s.

Cotonelle Ultra. After years of government TP, it’s a relief to come home to!

UK here, family of four (two little-uns) and bog-roll costs could be astronomical were it not for Tesco value range.

We get through about 2 dozen rolls a month but thankfully that only costs us about £2.50 and it is perfectly strong, soft and absorbent. My arse doesn’t know how much it cost and doesn’t much care.

( I dread to think how much it would be for anything posher!)

I grew up using the soft stuff, but my wife has been buying Scott for the last 15+ years, so I’ve gotten used to it. In fact, I’ve gotten so used to it that I don’t particularly like the soft stuff anymore. It feels like wiping with a bunch of cotton balls.

If extra attention is needed, I follow up with wet wipes–they all seem about the same.

I like Scott or the Kroger brand of Scott. The thicker ones pill, or worse, rip a hole through and I end up stabbing myself with fingernails. That is not a pleasant experience. You’d think if they’re thicker it wouldn’t be so likely, but the cheaper, thinner kind doesn’t ever give me grief.

Scene: Boss and Sub-boss come back from lunch meeting. Boss is carrying the super mega huge package of Kirkland from Costco. Sub-boss is carrying case of beer.

I’m the only chick working in a bachelor pad business. grins

From what I’ve hear Cottonelle is the cat’s meow, when it comes to TP i buy the cheapest considering what its used for and where its going.

Besides a little sand paper does wonders for hemroids relief.

I am a Cottonelle girl myself. I like the ridges and it is soft but not pillowy. Also, it is very often on sale. I wont buy anything else unless the store is out, and then it is a small pack until the Cottonelle is restocked.

One day, quite a few months ago, my wife and son were at the store, and one of the things they needed to buy was toilet paper. Neither one could remember what brand we usually bought, so my son said “Hey mom, let’s get this brand. It has puppies on it!”. The next several times we went to the store, we still couldn’t remember the brand name, but we knew we liked the “puppy paper”, and have been buying it exclusively ever since.

Cottonelle is NOT more expensive when you factor in the amount you use on each wipe. 2 or 3 squares will get the job done, where the cheap crap take 6 or more.

Any recommendations for single ply?

A while ago I “acquired” a few rolls of institutional TP. One brand was Billow, which does not show up on Google. It wasn’t particularly soft, so if I had diarrhea, I’d want something softer. It was single ply and not greatly absorbent. But even taking into account I wound up using more of it because of that, it lasted 2-3 times longer than an average roll!

FYI, Consumer Reports best buys are the aforementioned Costco Kirkland Signature and Walmart White Cloud. Other recommended brands include Quilted Northern Ultra Plush, Cottonelle Ultra, and Scott Extra Soft.

I use Scott 1000 sheets. Always have. It doesn’t clog the toilet and it lasts a long time.
