What is the most decadant thing you've ever eaten?

One of these days, I’m going to get around to trying Homer Simpson’s Patented Space-Age Out of This World Moon Waffles (recipie here), which I think is pretty much the definition of decadent.

(I like that the site calculates nutritional facts. 309% of the RDA for saturated fat! Woohoo!)

The Volcano, which is a 3 person chocolate brownie-vanilla ice cream-hot fudge concoction served at The Raiforest Cafe. I was part of a 3 person family at the time, too. Still needed insulin when I was done…

Hmmm…

My mother-in-law’s osso buco, made completely from scratch. The only thing she doesn’t do is raise the calf.

The maple-glazed quail at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO.

The maple cheesecake at Laudisio in Boulder, CO.

It’s not that I’m a maple freak, it just worked out that way.

And honorable mention goes to the little restaurant in the alley next to our hotel in Rome. Simple food, well prepared, eaten slowly and with great gusto.
