What is your Adult Beverage of choice?

Beer: Guinness
Wine: Shiraz (currentl fav 2003 Jacobs Creek)
Mixed drink: Margarita.

Beer: Lucky Lab Organic Golden Ale (have to go to the brewpub)

Wine: Kiona 2001 Cabernet or Cab/Merlot (limited production, hard to find, but worth tracking it down)

Hard Liquor: Maker’s Mark / rocks (easy availability and reasonably priced)

Those are my faves, but I’ve been known to swill anything from Potter’s Blackberry Brandy to Coors Light.

Cider. Hard Cider. I’m a fan of sweeter cider, and right now I’m workign my way through a case of Woodchuck Amber. Yummy! In my basement I have 5 gallons of apple juice fermenting. I’m hoping to bottle at the end of January.

For harder drinking, it’s usually a Gin and Tonic these days. The bar I can go to here in town doesn’t put lime in, and I appear to be the only one that orders them. I’m thinking of bringing my own lime next time.

Occasionally, when I’m feeling wild, I’ll do shots of chilled Stoli. But that’s about it. I’ve come a long way from my schnapps at school days. Hehehe…

Beer:
In a bar, Black and Tan. For a session, Smithwick’s.
At home, Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout.

Wine:
Shiraz around 65-70 degrees. My current choice is a cheap California, Seven Peaks.

Liquor:
At present, Tequila Sunrises are my home-mix of choice, with freshly juiced oranges.
At a bar, usually a Gin and Tonic, using Sapphire.

My “house wine” is Bolla Merlot; Bolla’s reds are basically the only reds I like.
For getting goofy, I drink screwdrivers made with orange-pineapple juice.
What I really, really love though is Asti spumanti. Mmmmmm, so good.

Most of my drinking is done in peculiar social circumstances that make me, temporarily, think that I like whatever it is I’m drinking. Straight vodka in a restaurant in Moscow, gin and smoked almonds with an ex-Russian who talks about how that was his first taste of the West, martinis made by a particular friend at his own particular parties, single-malt whisky with my dad on Christmas–I love all these things in context, and can’t stand them out of it.

Beer: Bud

Wine: Bud (I don’t like wine)

Hard liquor: Bud (Oh OK, I do make Margaritas on occasion, like 4 times a year).

I think I got this one from a recipe thread, and I’ve adapted it to my own design.

One ounce of heavy cream
Heaping teaspoon of DARK cocoa powder
Three teaspoons of sugar
Two shakes each of cinnamon and nutmeg
Liberal splash of bourbon

Stir together in a large mug and pour some steamed milk on top. The best hot cocoa you’ve ever had.

I like it because it an adult version of a kid’s drink!

I’ll drink a pretty wide variety of things, but I come back to Absolut and either cranberry or lemonade a lot. I also have been known to order Maker’s Mark, rocks, pretty often. And I do a lot of Jack or Captain and Coke when I’m just lounging around. So really anything hard liquor is pretty good with me.

G&T. I have a dirty martini when I’ve had a nasty nasty week (not often). Sometimes two. I haven’t hit the Sapphire in a while though; I prefer for school to get in the way of my drinking rather than the other way around.

Otherwise, I’m mostly a beer drinker. Bass, Negra Modelo, Sierra Nevada, and Shiner Bock are all favorites in the household.

J&B on the rocks with a splash of water – almost exclusively, 'cept for the odd almost-frozen beer now and then.

I also like Crown Royal, Peach Schnapps, and Cranberry Juice. Around here it’s called a Royal Flush, in Houston it’s called a Red Snapper. I call it MMMM MMMM GOOOOD!

Beer: blech.

Wine: Beaujoulais Nouveau.

Liquor for drunkenness: OJ and Bombay Sapphire with enough Lime Juice to cut back the bitterness.

Liquor for taste: 2 parts St. Brendan’s Irish Creme, 1 part chocolate milk. Mmmmm, chocolate caramel!

Beer: Leffe Blond if I can find it

Wine: Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon

Spirit: Hendrick’s G&T

Beer: God, no. Tastes like barf.

Wine: Headache. Red wine, white wine, cheap wine, expensive wine… doesn’t matter. Headache.

Basic everyday drink: Grey Goose and tonic with lime, it’s what I drink about 95% of the time. It never lets me down, and it’s hangover-free (unlike the Margaritas).

World Series/Superbowl: Mudslides. I’m not sure exactly when it started, but it’s tradition now.

Sunday morning: Bloody Mary, extra tabasco

Hot night out: Margaritas

Cold night in: Coffee with a liberal shot of Godiva liquer. **aclubs ** hot chocolate recipe sounds awfully good though, I might have to give that a try.

What’s your supplier of beaujolais nouveau?

B: Paulaner Pils out, Miller Lite at home. (Don’t laugh, it’s the only low-carb beer that doesn’t taste like fairy urp.)

W: Varies. Right now I’m awfully partial to whatever Aussie shiraz is on sale.

L/S: Smirnoff (May-September); Jack Daniel’s (October-April), with occaisonal infusions of Hennessy.

I’m in college, so I live on Natty Light. Bud Light is like gourmet beer. I don’t have the money to experiment with others.

I don’t like wine much, I only drink it on holidays with the family, and only blush. Gives me a headache.

I dig margaritas, daiquiris, screwdrivers, and I’d try pretty much any shot. I don’t like gin or Jagermeister, or anything pineapple or coconut flavored. But I prefer beer. I am enjoying a Bud Light now and watching David Eckstein be a pimp and shatter his bat.

I’ve never understood how people drink screwdrivers. Vodka and orange juice? Two great corrosives that corrode great together! Even back when I had a stomach of steel, I could only take two or three sips of a screwdriver before I felt sick.

With you on the margaritas though. Mmmmmm, margaritas.

Terminal Gravity IPA, baby!

Hard cider fan here. It’s like a crisp fall afternoon in a bottle.
