And since we apparently all need to justify our silence, I’ll state that I’ve never heard of this Jon guy until this thread, not being a resident of New Jersey or, indeed, even remotely interested in politics in general. And while I’ve heard of Alec Baldwin and have even been vaguely aware of his recent struggles, I personally assign the troubles and behaviors of celebrities roughly the same importance as the shape and texture of the clouds. I cannot calculate how many of the concerns and worries in my life would have to evaporate away before I cared enough about what any Baldwin did to write a post about it.
So there’s my answer.
A second reply to the OP: you misspelled the names of both people you’re outraged about, so it looks like you gave about as much of a shit as the people who you are supposedly Pitting. Beyond that, I’d say there was no other Pitting because these incidents confirm how most people already felt about Baldwin and Corzine.

Somebody did start a pit thread about Alec Baldwin and Jon Corsine. In fact, I’m posting in it right now.
Jon Corsine’s the Governor of New Jersey. I don’t live in New Jersey and I don’t pay much attention of New Jersey politics.
Alec Baldwin, from everything I’ve heard about him, is an overbearing asshole. But he’s funny on TV. So I watch him on TV and avoid him everywhere else.
People dying in India, Virginia, and Oklahoma is sad.
Corzine is more than a sleaze. He should be in jail. Here’s hoping he goes, and not as a visitor on a field trip. What a slimy prick.
As for Baldwin, wasn’t he the same Hollywood jackass who yelled on some late night talk show about going to DC and stoning Henry Hyde during the Clinton impeachment? He should have been tossed in jail for that. Even if it was just for a day or two, it might have taught him a lesson.
However, I like him as an actor… so I’d prefer that he just keep his opinions to himself, and continue to act, make me laugh, and shut up about politics.
