The game I’m looking forward to the most is Agricola, a farm building game that has been getting rave reviews after it was released in Germany a few months ago. The $75 price tag on it is going to be murder, though…
How am I the first to mention Super Smash Brothers Brawl?
I’m interested in Empire: Total War, but I actually hope that it doesn’t come out this year. If they wait until '09, I might even have a computer that will run it (I’m running M2:TW on near-minimum graphics right now) and they might even work all the bugs out by then.
Gta Iv
Here is that link for Europa Universalis: Rome (preview).
Another game that I’m looking forward to along the line of Sins of a Solar Empire is Galactic Civ…they have a new expansion due out this year that looks like it might be very cool.

The OP asked what games you were looking forward to in the calendar year 2008, not in the next 2008 years.
I was thinking of going to pick that up tomorrow. Just as an aside, though, I think Atlus’ only role in the game is as US publisher. They’re not listed on the back of the Japanese box.
I’m dreading what Bethesda’s going to do to the Fallout series, but I’ll be getting Fallout 3 at release.
I didn’t like many of the changes Paradox made to the EU series in EU3, so I’m hesitant about EU: Rome. Plus I was never able to get EU3 to run on my new laptop so I don’t want to risk not being able to get EU: R to run.
Warhammer Online, HL2:E3, Dragon Age, and Alan Wake are games I’m very much looking forward to.
Soul Caliber IV. I’m absolutely hooked on that series, and I don’t even like fighting games as a general rule. Unfortunately, we’ll have to buy a 360 for it, but meh. I’ll find other games to help justify the cost
StarCraft II in 2008? Suuuuuure.
A Vampyre Story
Spore
Starcraft II
At least A Vampyre Story seems to be coming out soon, if you can believe the rumors.
Funny how we all have delusions about the games coming out in '08…except for GTA.
Final Fantasy XIII and Soul Calibur IV.
Soul Calibur 4, the best fighting series ever, and Smash Brothers Brawl top my list.
For my online fix, Guild Wars 2
I came in here thinking I would be the only one who still remembered that game. We’ve heard next to nothing about it since that tech demo video.
Fallout 3 and Fable 2 round out my other most anticipated games.
I would say that odds are pretty good that most of the games on my list will be coming out this year. Warhammer Online is in the final beta testing and will probably ship second quarter. The Warhammer 40k expansion is pretty much done as well. Sins of a Solar Empire is in it’s beta testing atm and seems close to completion…same with the Gal Civ expansion.
Fallout 3, Star Craft II and the Total War Empire game are the only questions. Of the lot the only one I REALLY expect to see this year is the Total War game…probably late in the year.

I know. I’m just making light of the situation, what with all these odd beta tests going on and games getting inexplicably pushed back. It should be another very good year for games…at least PC games.
Last year was the year of the Xbox, though.
Starcraft 2.
Spore looks pretty nifty in concept, but I don’t think I’ll buy it.
Lego Indiana Jones, for sure.
And I can’t be the only one who’s really psyched about Wii Fit?
