Is that the one that is all the rage in Japan? The one that keeps track of a bunch of biometrics data and also your performance and such? If so I read about it on GameSpy or IGN the other day…it sounded way cool.
Myself, I want to buy a wii…but there are none to be had at any of the stores in town.
Believe it or not Warhammer Online is the most excited I am about a game and I’m fairly MMO phobic. Failing that then Spore like pretty much everyone else. Good luck to anyone holding your breath on Starcraft 2 and Fallout 3 - I’ll call a doctor when you turn blue and pass out.
Fallout 3 for sure, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Starcraft II. If released. I’ve been waiting for a (good) new RTS game for a long time.
I’ll buy Spore but I’m not getting all that excited about it. Great in concept. Dragon Age looks good, Fable 2 too.
If I had a console (I plan on getting one… one day), I would definitely be looking forward to the new GTA game. It looks bloody beautiful. There are a couple other console-only games that look good too.
I’m still waiting for a good remake of X-COM, I’m sure there must be a few more clones coming out this year, maybe one will finally succeed.
I want to be able to say GTA but as I’m sucking quite badly at GTA San Andreas that I downloaded from Steam at the weekend I’m not sure really. I’m just so crap at the missions that I seem to spend all my time reloading and trying them again and that’s not my idea of fun. What’s even sadder is I can see all the potential stretched out in front of me and the only thing stopping me from enjoying it is my own lameness.
The reason I’m tempted to try Warhammer Online is because it actually sounds like it’ll do what it says on the tin. I’m not interested in collecting 10 bloody pelts or running from Ashenvale to Stormwind, I want to get out there and bust some chops! MMOs don’t have the capacity for you to progress the story or change the world in any meaningful way so why bother doing quests that masquerade as that?
For anyone interested in Sins of a Solar Empire here is the latest (and probably last) preview on GameSpy. The game is currently scheduled for release on Feb. 4th (yeah!! :)).
The (looks like) final Warhammer 40K expansion is due out a month later. March 4th according to GameSpy. So…I should be good to go for games until the spring or early summer at a minimum, even if nothing else I am looking for ships this year.
No one mentioned it but Pirates of the Burning Sea shipped this last week. It looks pretty good though it seems to have a VERY steep learning curve and I think it may have shipped a bit early before all the bugs and other nasty stuff was worked out.
Interesting. I have another game to add to my wish list it looks like. Was looking up when Warhammer Online was due out (Q2 of 08 according to GameSpy) and saw another Warhammer expansion…this one for their Mark of Chaos game. So…could be a big year for Warhammer fans this year!
I will probably give Warhammer Online a look, even though I’m still hooked on City of Heroes. The game has, after all, already caused me to be entertained (Penny Arcade).
