What’s your favorite SDMB forum? Define “favorite” as you wish – where do you post most often, where do you spend the most time, where do you look first, etc.?
Game Room and Cafe Society
Then MPSIMS and GQ are Tied.
The Pit depends on the threads as I mostly like to read them. Same with ATMB.
GD is the least but sometimes it has good stuff in there.
IMHO is in between Game room and MPSIMS so it’s sometimes w/ CS or at least better than MPSIMS and GQ
MPSIMS, followed by (tied) CS and IMHO.
I almost never go to The Game Room, ATMB, or the “comment on SD columns” forums.
Cafe Society. Film, TV, literature, cooking. Cool.
Game Room.
I start or participate in almost every sports thread.
IMHO.
I always use the “New Posts” link, there’s almost always something worth reading in every forum.
IMHO and Cafe Society
Across my whole 10 years of membership, I have far and away spent more time with GQ than all the other forums put together. So that was my selection. In the past couple weeks, though, I’ve spent almost all my time here in IMHO. The polls are fun.
I wouldn’t want to have to pick between MPSIMS and Cafe Society. Imagine my delight when the latter was added to my mod duties!
It depends.
But IMHO and MPSIMS are my faves lately.
GQ is my favorite, although I read more than I post there. Cafe Society is second, and IMHO is third (I love the polls).
I read a lot of forums, but General Questions is my favorite. I like learning actual facts, and once in a while I can teach someone else something as well.
I visit all of the forums, but I’ve always spent most of my time in the Pit. Might seem strange, since long-winded philosophizin’ is more my speed than creative invective, but it’s always seemed to me that the Pit gets more debates that are worth having than GD does. I have no idea why*, but there you have it.
- This is a lie. I actually have quite a few ideas why, but this is not the thread for long-winded philosophzin’.
I was going to post “comments on staff reports” forum just to be the one person to do so, but I see they’ve gotten no love, save for the nebulous “other” category.
Yes, the “other” category is nebulous given the other choices in the poll.
“Other” could mean that your favorite is a forum that isn’t listed in the poll (because it’s one of the “lesser” forums as measured by total number of threads and posts). Otherwise, “Other” could also mean that none of the poll choices apply for some reason that isn’t listed in the poll (i.e., there’s no choice for “I hate every forum”).
So, if your choice is “other,” feel free to explain why. Or not.
