Yeah, of course they left the joke vague, partly because they stretched the shows’ limits as far as they would go just by suggesting the sex act, and mostly because they knew leaving it vague would conjure up the worst possible images in our minds.

And the facts are that anal was unusual in mainstream porn in the mid-70s. Not unfindable, but certainly unusual. And it is impossible to imagine Eric the character doing anal in any way on Donna the character. But every single porn flic of the day would prominently feature cunnilingus - which all the porn woman would love and even insist on.
I am almost the exact same age as Eirk… that is, I was born in 1957. I have always found that the characters on That '70s Show were very like me and my schoolmates of the day.
