What should I make for breakfast?

Its 9:30 sunday morning. I’m drinking coffee and watching martha stewart watch people cook things on the food network and I want to cook something.

What should I make for breakfast? …keep in mind this will probably be my lunch too… so cereal doesn’t cut it.

Belgian waffle omelete with pepporoni.
2 parts coffee, 1 part boiled JOLT! cola. (it’s good.)
Fried spam on a stick.

That should hold ya till dinner time

I was just sitting here thinking to myself “hmmmm…I’m getting hungry”. Then I read MaxTorque’s rather vivid description of his recent Lasix eye surgery. Nope, I’m definitely not hungry anymore.

Why don’t you eat what my daughter had for breakfast? Seems to give her enough energy to make it through the day:

One bite of poached egg, promptly spit back out on to her plate, because she decided she wanted oatmeal

One bite of toast, just to make me happy

Two bites of oatmeal, the rest abandoned because she decided she wanted to play with the cat

One mini-marshmallow that she found on the bottom of the kitchen cabinet

1.5 teaspooons of PediaCare cough medicine, because she has a cold

One Sesame Street chewable vitamin, shaped like Elmo

Wash it all down with half a sippy-cup of apple Juicy Juice, and you’ll be all set to go!

(BTW, I am not making this up. This is, in fact, all my daughter has eaten today)

LOL Purse! I didn’t get this big on a 5 calorie diet!
friedo… that actually sounds pretty good… unfortunatly I dont have a belgian waffle iron… I DO have spam however!!! Mmmm… forgot about that… I might have to fry some up… yeah yeah… Then cut it up into that omelet cause I think I’m out of pepperoni…

Good god, man, you know I wasn’t serious, right? ::shudder::

Well, don’t sue me when you wind up in intensive care getting spam and jolt pumped from your stomach.

French toast, scrambled egg whites, and a glass of orange juice.

MMmmmm… I make great french toast…Mmmmm… but thats pretty heavy… all those carbohydrates leave me sleepy… I dont want to be sleepy all day, I have things to do.
Its now 10:30 and I still haven’t eaten… I just keep drinking this cold coffee…

[li]Use sausage drippin’s to make milk gravy.[/li][li]When the gravy is just about done, reduce the heat and break eggs into the gravy and poach them in it (basting the eggs is optional – I just cover the pan and let the steam do the work).[/li][/list=1]

Serve.

Eat.

Belch (you haven’t had a really fine meal unless you perform [or suppress] this last step).

Sigh in satisfaction.

~~Baloo

Ohhh… that sounds good Baloo. That just may be the winner!

alright… I’m getting full now.

Here’s what I did.

I took a look through the fridge and freezer, I found sausage links, eggs and cheddar…
Mmmm… omlete it is. I browned the links and threw in a bay leaf just before they were done, it adds a nice flavor to the grease. I sat the links aside and discarded the leaf and beat two eggs in a bowl with a touch of milk, salt, fresh ground pepper and basil. Added the mixture to the proper amound of sausage grease and cooked omlete style till almost dry on top. Then I crumbled up 2 links and put it on one side of the eggs and covered generously with cheddar cheese… Fold and let sit for melting. I am currently eating this omlete with 2 non crumbled links and toast with butter and honey. For some reason I was craving a diet coke, so I’m drinking that too.

I knew you ALL would want to know!

I had a Devil Dog for breakfast. <hangs head> But, I’m really ashamed of myself. Really.

Jess – who thinks she’ll have an ice cream sandwich for lunch
