KTLA in Los Angeles is showing, at 7:30, the episode where Sideshow Bob runs for mayor. It may be just an interesting coincidence, but we’re having our mayoral election today, following the attendant scandals and muckraking.
If Villaraigosa wins, he will be our first Latino mayor. A lot of people will be pleased by that, except newspaper typesetters, who will regret that we didn’t elect Hahn. Anyway, just wondering if other Fox affiliates are also showing this episode.
KCPQ in Seattle is showing “Homer’s Triple Bypass” at 5 pm and “Marge vs the Monorail” at 6 pm.

KFXA in Iowa City showed the one where the Simpsons get a swimming pool, but Bart breaks his leg and has to spend the summer up in his room in a cast. From this vantage point, with the help of Lisa’s telescope, he believes he’s seen Ned murder and bury his wife in the back yard. There was another one on after that, but I had to leave for work.
here in baltimore, channel 14 showed the episode where homer becomes an artist (his ruined barbeque gets in the show, and jasper johns keeps stealing stuff, and homer ends up flooding the town and snorkeling the animals) at 5:30.
at 11, channel 4 showed the episode where the REAL principal seymour skinner came back to town, thereby displacing the old principal seymour skinner, aka armand tanzarian.
my brother, who lives in a small suburb about a half hour north of chicago, saw:
at 5:30, the episode where homer goes to the nut house and his roommate is michael jackson.
at 10, the episode where homer’s half-brother herb comes to springfield and gets back his fortune by making a machine that interprets baby-speak.
Jeez! Here I thought the episodes were the same across the board! There have been a few times when I’ve told my mom to look out for a particular episode, and it’s been on in Chattanooga where she is. But that was a few years ago.
Plus, it’s not looking great for Villaraigosa.
To fill in the hole, the 6:00pm showing in Chicago was the one where Homer changes his name to Max Power. Personally, the 10:00 one was the best out of the lot.
And I remember talking to a girl on IRC in Florida who was on the same rerun schedule Chicago was. Don’t ask me to explain it.
Here in Mayen, Germany, Channel Sieben showed the episode where Marge gets over her fear of flying at 7pm.
Homer says ‘YAHOO!’, not ‘Woo-hoo’ on German TV. Doesn’t have the same charm…

I get to watch at least an hour and a half of Simpsons every night.
Here in Dallas last night at 5:00, the episode where Marge starts a pretzel franchise and Homer gets the mob to take out the competition was on. It also comes on at 6:00, but I was out running.
Here in lovely Arlington, VA, last night@ 18.00 brought us the one where Bart gets put on “Focusyn” to curb his hyperactivity, freaks out, commandeers a tank to bring down the surveillance satellite that Major League Baseball uses to spy on all of us all the time.
Continuing with the drug-freakout theme, at 18.30 there was the Chili Cookoff where Homer eats the Guatemalan Insanity Peppers and has a bad trip. Johnny Cash as the spirit coyote. Hmm, maybe Fox 5 was trying to tell us something about casual drug use?
WZDX (Fox 54) in Huntsville, AL is showing the one where a comet hits Springfield.
The really freaky thing is that, when I saw the commercial this morning, I made a mental note in case someone wanted to know. Then I see this thread. Very vaguely creepy.
I missed the early episode, but the late episode was the one where Bart becomes "The ‘I didn’t do it’ " boy for Krusty. Ends with Bart saying he doesn’t want to become a slave to his catchphrase, where upon he states “Aye carumba”, Homer says “D’oh!”, Maggie sucks her pacifier, Mr. Burns says “Excellent”, so on and so forth…
Well, my local Fox affliate WFFF (Burlington, Platsburg, and Montreal)(which we just got last year) DOESN’T SHOW SIMPSONS RERUNS! Cruel, I know, but not to worry.
My local ABC affliate (WCAX, I think) shows them at 4:00 AND 4:30. Plus, the Canadian channel I get, CBC, shows another rerun at 5:30, and they are all different! I get a nice solid block.
Of course, I never know what episodes will be playing because that is the only time I ever watch those channels, so I never see the little preview commercials.

6:30 PM: Miracle on Evergreen Terrace-Springfield has Christmas spirit until Bart ruins everything.
10:00 PM: Another Simpson’s Clipshow-The Simpsons reminisce about love in flashbacks.
Aw man…I hate clipshows. At least it’s not the All Singing, All Dancing Episode. That’s the only one I really dislike. I’m waiting until our station starts showing the really older ones. For about a week they were doing it. Last night’s 10:00 PM one was the “Rosebud” episode where Burns wants his bear, Bobo. That’s a good one.
