What song are you listening to *right now*?

What song are you listening to right now?

For me its Dear Prudence by the Beatles.
*Dear Prudence, won’t you come out to play
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It’s beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won’t you come out and play

Dear Prudence open up your eyes
Dear Prudence see the sunny skies
The wind is low the birds will sing
that you are part of everything
Dear Prudence won’t you open up your eyes?*

I’m listening to the hard rock station on the DMX music system that comes with my digital cable. I’ve had it on for most of the day. Right now they’re playing “Stinkfist” by Tool.

The Rainbow by The Apples In Stereo

Inhumanity by Trevor Duncan (early 50s stock music)

God is in the House by Nick Cave

“And we’ve bred all our kittens white,
so you can see them in the night,
and at night we’re on our knees,
as quiet as a mouse,
since the word got out,
from the north down to the south,
that God is in the house.”

“Walk the Walk” by Poe

The other day I was trying to think of songs from the 90’s that were popular briefly and I remembered “Hey Pretty.” I downloaded it and remembered how much I liked it, so I downloaded a couple more songs by Poe, and it’s all good stuff. Probably going to go track down the album “Haunted,” as that seems to be packed with very listenable music.

“Total Eclipse of the Heart” --Bonnie Tyler version.

Lost in Love”, Air Supply

Faith No More - Caralho Voador

Weapon by Matthew Good. Then I plan to move on to No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age.

Lexicon Devil by The Germs

I’m listening to How to Disappear Completely by Radiohead

“Tiretracks and Broken Hearts”–Bonnie Tyler version.

I want you by my side, to be on my own.
I don’t know what I want half the time, but I know
That I don’t want to spend another minute alone.

The video for Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly just finished on VH1. Now Shania Twain is fighting a giant robot on a motorcycle (she’s on the motorcylce…not the robot).

“Ring Out, Solstice Bells” - Jethro Tull, from Stand Up, 1967

Freak by Bruce Dickinson, I just put the CD in before I opened this thread.
