Unless you can provide any reputable evidence that homosexuality should not be considered a legitimate alternative to heterosexuality, then your position is one of persecution and I have not distorted anything to the left or the right.
Since every bit of evidence that I have seen indicates that sexual orientation is something that an individual cannot control (and you have certainly provided no evidence to the contrary), then sexual orientation should fall into the same category as any other aspect of a person that is not under their control. Similarly, it is in the interest of society to ensure that children do not growing up hating or fearing that which is different than artificially set societal patterns. This is especially true when one considers that those children may grow up to discover that that condition is their condition.
You can describe that as a mere political agenda if you choose. Until you provide evidence that there is any factual basis for your prejudices, we are under no obligation to accept your views as anything other than bent, rightist person-bashing.
Homosexuality and evolution are verifiable facts, whereas creationism is religious dogma. (Personally, I think creationism should be taught along with other world creation myths in World History or Social Sciences or somesuch.)

He’s a well-educated, thoughtful Christian. I rarely agree with his religious views, but I always enjoy reading them. If I were to convert back to Christianity, it would be because of people like Tom and Eutychuss and a very few others. But that’s quite unlikely.

I wish I could take your money. The closest that I have ever come to a “public agency” was sorting/delivering the mail for my schoolmates in college. I have never been employed by any government agency at any level. My employers, from my college summers through the present, have all been capitalists whose earnings was based on either manufacturing or sales to persons or other corporations. (I did work for one company for which the government was about 2% of the customer base, but that 2% represented actual durable goods sold to the maritime and Navy procurement process.)
