Chicken minced meat (Estonia , then part of USSR): A weird montage of chickens, cooking meat, and two women dining in a restaurant, accompanied by a voice chanting “Chicken minced meat!” in Estonian.

I was doing some searches on towns in my area, just to see what would come up. I found a video of an elevator in a local mall. That’s it. It was just a video showing the doors, interior, and control panel of an elevator, with a title noting what model of elevator it is. I clicked on the guy’s channel and apparently he has 1600 videos of nothing but elevators. It looks like he travels the country just to make videos of elevators. (Although I suppose he might just compile vides taken by others. I’m not going to watch them all to see if the voices are the same.)
So I’m thinking there could be 3 reasons for this channel to exist:
He’s an elevator engineer or technician.
There are elevator nerds who like cataloging elevators, sort of like trainspotters with trains.
There are people who have a fetish involving elevators and like to see footage of them.
I’m thinking #2 is most likely. I had never imagined that there might be such a thing as an elevator nerd.
It’s not on Youtube, but I was recently linked to I, Pet Goat II (as far as I know, there is no “I, Pet Goat I”).
http://vimeo.com/44583147 (slightly NSFW because there’s a blink and you’ll never notice what it looks like phallic symbol and some saggy animated old lady boobs)
It’s one of those things that I probably should hate (and normally would) because it seems like faux symbolism by artists who think they have something deep to say and have their heads up their own asses. But somehow, despite its weirdness I… really like it. Maybe it’s the Fantasia vibe I get from it. It’s a bit self indulgent, but still legitimately artistic, well made, well animated, and has excellent music. I won’t spoil the content of the video – a lot of stuff with political leaders and caricatures of modern events and such. Again, it’s strange, and comes off like a sort of “head too far up ass” thing, but it’s legitimately good IMO.
On a completely different note, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (warning, scary!):
Essentially a Sesame Street/Pee-wee’s Playhouse sort of song gone HORRIBLY awry. It is certainly unsettling the first time you see it. I must stress not to watch it if you’re easily scared, I didn’t make the warning clear enough when I posted this way back on Facebook and my friend really, really freaked out. No extreme gore (okay, there’s a heart being rubbed in glitter, but no gutting people or animals or anything), nudity, or anything NSFW. Just kind of weird and unsettling.
Until you get used to it, then you kind of just watch it because the song is stuck in your head.
What I like best about this one is that it looks enough like a real kids’ show to be mistaken for one, and yet even before the freakout it’s just a bit off. The pause when the clown picture is erased is just long enough to be unnerving, and “Green is not a creative color” is so nonsensical that it makes you wonder what else is wrong with the lesson.
As my contribution: anything of Shaye Saint John (warning: this is as deep as the uncanny valley goes). If anyone here fully understands what’s going on in these videos, please explain it to me. And then seek professional help, because that can’t be normal.
A cable access program where the host attempts to do all three of those activities at the same time with poor results. There’s some swearing, but other than that it’s work safe.
