This was posted on another board but no one had any reasonable guesses.
Backstory: guy buys a bag of unsalted organic tortilla chips from Trader Joe’s and finds this:
He says he’s going to return it tomorrow but it might be fun take a few guesses til we know.
I would not find the promise that it’s organice to be particularly reassuring.
Yeah, looks a bit like a baby stegosaurus tail.
Teenage mutant ninja tardigrade?

Looks like a headless salamander.
Oh, man! That’s where I put it!
It’s pretty clear that it’s a tortilla chip that’s been rolled up during the manufacturing process. Not quite sure why it’s that particular colour; Maybe overcooked somewhere in the process. No doubt all the rejects get filtered out but this one somehow made it past screening.

I wonder if whatever type of vessel they fry these things in just had built up crumbs and grease around an edge, and it fell in.
It looks like a twig, to me.
Yes. Obviously a rolled up burnt chip.
No doubt about it, that’s a tingler larvae.
Could be a large scab. But I vote for some reject from the fryer that made its way into the bag.
