God did not give us carrots so that we could turn them into cake. That’s just fucked up.
But pumpkin pie is great.

Well, this isn’t really a baked good or anything, but… carrots were not meant to be juiced!! Ick, I can’t drink carrot juice without the barf reflex kicking in.

If it tastes like carrots, you have not followed the recipe closely enough. You’re supposed to shred the carrots up, ya know.

i just thought of this really good dessert. i can’t remember the indian name, but it’s like shredded carrots, warmed and sweetened with raisins and almond slivers, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. so good!

re the juicing of carrots, one thing I’ve learned from this fine message board is that if you juice carrots and kiwi fruit together, it’s very nice. 'S true.
Carrots are deadly. Or not. Either way, they should be avoided.
Well, they used to make celery JELL-O, so that’s somewhat close.
If you feel this strongly about carrot cake, what about sweet potato pie?
Where I come from they serve Lime Jell-o with shredded carrots and finely chopped celery.:eek:
My grandma loves making cherry Jell-O with shredded carrots and celery. Freaked my girlfriend out when she served it. She thought it was going to attack her.
I like making multi-layer Jell-O in different colors. If you time it right, the layers fuse together into a single uberjello piece.
I love carrot cake. It’s my favorite cake. Better than chocolate, even.
