What time do you get up?

I rarely get up before 9:30 Am, and that just when Im being “grown up”. I embrace the nightime. I ahve NEVER been able to get up early(unless I have to). I am fortunate enough that going to bed at 2 or so is normal, and I can still do my job. Y’all who get up before 10? You’re weird. But I like you…

No, I’m not Mrs. Chance. My little baby is 15, taller than I am, and currently making a banner for her Medival Banquet. Of course, there’s always the possibility that we were each other in a previous life…

School days = 6:45
Weekends = 7-10
Breaks/Vacation = 10:30

…or her Medieval Banquet… lessee, I was up before 6 this morning… could that be the reason I can’t spell??

Monday: 7:30
Tuesday: 4:30 on a clinical day, later if I can possibly get away with it.
Wednesday: see Tuesday.
Thursday: 7:30
Friday: alarm unset, don’t have to be at little job until 12. I’ll open my eyes around 7 or 8 and decide how I feel about getting up. Ask Drachillix what time he has to be anywhere.
Saturday and Sunday: see Friday.

Spell, Shpell.

I still know a quality woman when I see one. And you’re it. I just hope Kate’s cool enough to have a medieval banquet when she’s fifteen.

Hey, at least we had her in costume at 3 weeks!

When I work, I get up at 4:30PM. When I don’t work, I get up sometime between 7-8AM.

BRRRINNNNGGGGG!!!

In zombie motion, a hand snakes out from under a pile of blankets to slap the offending clock into silence. Unfortunately, during a state of consciousness, brachy set the clock on the other side of the room, forcing her to now leave her warm cocoon to confront the windup banshee. Banshee says: “It’s 2:30 am. Go catch birds.” brachy stumble-dances down the hall to the bathroom and 20 minutes later, she’s on the road. Salvation glows up ahead, in the form of Wa-Wa’s golden lights. Coffee!

When not catching birds, I wake up at 6:00 am. I rather like driving around NJ in the early morning before the rest of the cheery population is out.

Skool daze: 7:00 (8:00 class, takes 30 min. to get there :D)
Work, no skool: I start work on monday (day after tomorrow), so I don’t know yet…probably 8-ish
No work, no skool: between 9:30 and noon

There is no logic to this, I know…

I set my alarm for 7:12 so I can hit “snooze” twice (tricking myself into thinking I am getting more sleep, ya see…)getting me up at 7:30 at which time I hit “snooze” again and get up at 7:39, therefore… rushing to get my son off to school in 25 minutes time.

On the weekends, anywhere between 8:00 - 9:00 unless my bladder wants me up before then

7 or so

Yawn…Early retirement for me. Days and nights confused, I stay up until two or three. Sometimes I hear the newspaper being delivered (430AM) and figure it’s time to turn out the light. Sleep until nine or so and don’t set an alarm.

Am working as a consultant(approx 20 hours per week)and have to appear in the office only once a week, completing the rest of the job at home. Sometimes I nap in the late afternoon.

My Mom at retirement stayed up all night and went to sleep when my Dad woke up for work. She’d pass him in the hallway en route to the bathroom, saying she just had to get up ‘to go.’ He was one of those guys who believed there was some moral lapse if one slept beyond 7AM.

There’s something about the peace in the middle of the night that stimulates creativity, allowing me to complete my work in warp speed, giving time to hatch plans for mastery of the universe, or simply to finish that book, lurk the boards, etc.

Previous life? Up at five to feed the daughter; airline work for many years with a variety of start/stop times; early rising before the rest of the family so that my day didn’t begin with the chaos of missing homework and unironed shirts.

MORNING SCHEDULE (WEEKDAY)
6:18 - Wake up
6:18:19 - Fall asleep again, try to resume dream about something nice happening to me
6:31 - What the – awakened again.
6:40 - Eat breakfast consisting of toast and a cup of Earl Gray
6:46 - Lie down, pretend to sleep
6:49 - Stumble into bathroom, recomb hair to marginal stylishness, or what would have been stylishness 40 years ago.
6:53 - Grab whatever I want to where today (t-shirt, dockers, socks, some sort of buttonable shirt, crappy tenis shoes with sections of heel missing.
6:55 - Brush teeth, then leave for school.
7:02 - Arrive at school, go to AP Calculus class to feel good about beating the kids who can actually succeed in AP Calculus into class.
7:19 - Walk outside, then back inside.
7:30 - Class starts, my brain doesn’t want to.

MORNING SCHEDULE (WEEKENDS)
some time between 9:14 and 9:54 - Wake up
10:20 - Get out of bed.

I wake up sometime around 9:30-10:00 AM. Since I don’t need to be at work until 2 PM, this is perfect. I usually go to bed around 1-2 AM.

By the way, since I’m living my perfect schedule, I haven’t needed an alarm clock in over a year(unless I need to wake up early for a special reason).

Days when I have classes I get up at 6:20 so I can have some coffee before leaving - class starts at 7:45 (WHAT was I thinking???) . Otherwise I usually sleep until 8 to 8:30 a.m. I have a hard time sleeping past 8:30, no matter how late I stayed up the night before.

Usually I go to bed around midnight, sometimes later if I have stuff to do. My kids usually go down around 9:30, and the baby sleeps until 10 or 10:30 on a good day  . My husband usually wipes out by 10 p.m. as he is most definitely not a night-owl like yours truly.

If I close the night before, I’m out until at least 1. Sometimes as late as 3 or 4. If I’m working a day shift, I set my alarm for 9 or so. But usally the telemarketers start in around 10, so my sleep is interrupted, and eventually I give up and get in the shower. Or unplug my phone.

Usually sometime between 4 and 6 PM. I work nights, get off work at 7 AM.

When I,m working I get up around 8:30am. Right now, I don,t sleep much so about 4 or 5 hours after I go to bed.

I wake up around 6 pm M-F, and around 2 pm (or earlier or later) on Weekends.

and nights during the week when I’m hanging with the guys before i go to work I might get up at 5 pm… but that’s pushing it.

Night people rule.

6 AM. for workdays m-f.

Weekends around 7.30am
