What TV character would you HATE having to be around in reality?

Most of the people from Big Bang Theory would be pretty horrible in real life. I’d probably cope with Sheldon in my office better than Wolowitz, as Sheldon would at least want to be left alone most of the time.
I’m quite sure I would want to kill Rachel Green from Friends early in our acquaintance.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone else comes a very distant second.

Strangely, I think I’d get along pretty well with Kramer . . . but not at all with George . . . or worse, his parents.

Nancy Grace? She’s a malevolent character.

what’s so bad about Kramer? all he needs is a grand entrance and access to your fridge.

Actually, everyone on Seinfeld could fit this bill. All were annoying and abrasive in their own way. Elaine is annoying by the way she justs out her lower jaw and shows a strong under bite. Drives me crazy, because JLD actually talks like that IRL. I can’t take it during some shows… when she’s a feature player, it gets to be too much. It’s as annoying as George’s whining, lying, and scheming, and Kramer’s mooching.

Michael Scott would be my choice. I’d like to put his head through a wall. (I watch certain TV shows a bit too much).

Second would be Ray Romano’s mother.

I’d have to go with House too. That guy is such a major asshole most of the time.

I guess we’re sticking to sitcoms eh, not the obvious ones like Sylar or Dexter.

I guess there’s no one really I couldn’t hang around with. I can tolerate just about anything easily.

But, I guess if I had to choose:
Worst roommate: Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force (“I swear, if you break the remote one more time, I’m going to stab you in your sleep tonight.”)
Worst co-worker: Peter Griffin (“Dude, you disappeared for like 2 years, why do still work here?”)
Worst boss: Anyone from Sex in the City (“Um, my eyes are up here? Do you mind not touching me? You’re old enough to be my mother. I’m getting nauseous.”)

Ross from Friends was the first one that popped into my head, but Lucy, Barney Fife, Darren (from Bewitched) & Mrs Drysdale (Beverly Hillbillies) would be pretty bad.

Probably any of the Seinfeld characters. And the Everybody Loves Raymond Characters. And most of The Office Characters. Oh hell, I could likely spend the morning.

I honestly don’t think I’d mind hanging out with the Seinfeld gang for a while. Jerry and George have some interesting conversations; I’d like to try to keep up with their banter. A crazy pal like Kramer would help keep things lively. And if I hung around long enough there’s a pretty good chance I’d get to sleep with Elaine.

The problem is that people who get sucked into that circle tend to have bad things happen to them, usually through no fault of their own. All the ridiculous coincidences that surround that foursome would catch up to me eventually, so it probably wouldn’t be worth it in the long run.

I think my answer to the OP would be Frank Burns. You could probably think of at least a few positive attributes for most of the annoying characters in this thread, but Burns was all negative energy. Completely insufferable.

Sybil Fawlty – her husband would be amusing, but she’s just depressing.

Anyone comes stomping into my house without an invitation is leaving through the goddamned window.

I am a Sheldon Cooper-type, and most people don’t enjoy being around me.

Most of the cast of Friends, but I would instantly punch Phoebe.

I’d also get very irritated with Ted Mosby.

Seconded, I’d take Cramer over anyone from Friends.

Or Glee. The horror.

Potsie Weber

What’s wrong with poor Booth? He has a tough row to hoe, character-wise, playing against incomprehensibly written Brennan.

God, yes. I keep meaning to start a thread about “Shows that do well, considering…” and my own entry would be the complete lack of charisma of Josh Radnor and the complete annoyance of pretty much every action of Ted Mosby.

I agree, I could take about 20 minutes, once per week. As long as that 20 minutes also was broken up with commercial breaks
