What TV character would you HATE having to be around in reality?

Jessica Fletcher. I’d either end up dead or arrested for murder before long.

Paulie “Walnuts” from The Sopranos. Not only is he annoying and dumb, but I’d be scared shitless that any little thing I’d do would set him off.

I met him in real life, and he really lives that character… the suits, the hair, etc… But he seemed like an incredibly nice guy.

Livia Soprano. The other characters mentioned are annoying, but Livia is actively evil.

I’ve worked with Dwight Shrute…

It would be good if you did that.

I don’t think i could take more than 10 minutes next to Three Time Substitute Teacher of the Year Peggy Hill without telling her whats what.

Drinking with Dale Gribble would be awesome.

Second vote for Frank Burns.

Oh, hey, you better not be hating on Rory. He died for your sins, you know.

I’m totally picking Jack Bauer. Even if I wasn’t in his way for whatever reason, which would mean him torturing me, there’s a good chance I would end up as a dead bystander.

Dwight Schrute makes my slapping hand itch.

Also, Three minutes with Hyacinth Bucket and I’d wind up in a nice white room with padded walls.

If I had to live next to Bill Dauterive I would probably kill myself. Not only is Bill whiney, needy, flilthy and more than a little creepy (probably gassy too), you can’t lash out at him because he’s just too pathetic. It would be like kicking a puppy.

Monk would drive me round the bend, he doesn’t even TRY to help himself, and ahowing my age here both the Fonz from Happy Days; and Hawkeye from M.A.S.H.

I hate it when the writers try to force you to like the main characters by giving them every virtue possible without any faults or weaknesses.

You know, I think I could be friends with DiNozzo; I just wouldn’t want to work with him.

You think Hawkeye was without weakness or fault? You must hvae been watching a different show than me.

Hawkeye was a gifted battlefield surgeon, but it was clear from the time that Winchester first appeared that the latter was better at surgery overall; and BJ was smarter and more inventive than either of them. Hawk was the best in their specific situation, but not overall. And he himself noted that he was an alcoholic and a lech; he basically hated himself.

Fonzie had weaknesses too, though those were mostly comic.

Yes, but not a fictional one. And while I think she is vile, this thread is not about real persons.

I’d have slapped Wolowitz by now (or he’d be too intimidated to talk to me), Leonard would be OK to work with, and Sheldon would have been told to STFU already.

56 posts before a mention of Wesley Crusher? He should have been #1 with a bullet.

At least with Wesley, you’d be reasonably sure that if anything untoward happened involving energy fields, transporters, aliens, weakly godlike entities, etc you’d be rescued in some insufferable manner.

I don’t think it’d be insufferable. If Wesley saves me from being technobabbled to death by the magic energy fields on Galordon Whatever, I’m not cgoing to care how irritating he is to the viewer.

Darren Stevens? Sure he’s ridiculously judgmental but aren’t most people? Or maybe you just hate him because he’s married to Samantha? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d pick Urkel. Definitely the most annoying character on TV>

Original-Darren was usually more sinned against than sinning, at least in regards to his mother-in-law.

Darren-Prime did not get half the persecution he deserved.
