I’ll third Oblivion. It looks amazing – there was a leaked DVD of the demo they were running at E3, and the visual quality is stunning. They have now released the same demo, but in Windows Media files, which do not really do it justice.
Ditto. The 2nd one was such a let down.
Same thing for Halo 3 since we all know it’s coming for the XBOX 360. If there are mini bosses again, there will be blood.
Another vote for Oblivion and one for Fallout 3 - unfortunately, nothing new about it since last year’s announcement that Bethesda was taking over the development.
Now that I’ve gotten into World of Warcraft (yes, I’m a year behind the times, I know it), I’m kinda geeked about the expansion pack. Don’t care about blood elves, but everything else looks sweet. Finally, we’re getting weather…

Yep, that’s the one I came in to say. I love FPS’s and RTS’s (c’mon Supreme Commander!) but I am on the edge of my seat waiting for The Movies.
ArrMatey!, MaxCarnage, you guys both suck. I was atwitter with anticipation of posting that link. I’m crossing my fingers that my recent computer upgrade will suffice for that game, though.
Sadly, it will probably be at least another year till they make any kind of announcement of an actual game, followed by another year without much info. A year after that, the game will probably come out. Remember, they’re already comitted to doing a lot for The Elder Scrolls, which is taking up much if not most of their funds and people. They’ll need to secure funding. Once Oblivion comes out, they can probably add more people to the project. They’ll out together the technology they need. They are quite possibly working on early content right now, though. Sadly, it just plain talkes time to make a game nowadays, especially the kind of monster games Bethesda makes.
Definitely psyched for Shadow Hearts 3. Why do we have to wait a whole six months if it’s already out in Japan?
I believe that Will Wright’s Spore, once released, will usher in a new Golden Age for mankind.

Actually, I’m excited about the new game Path of Neo, I really liked the previous Matrix game even though everybody seemed to hate it. I’ll probably end up liking the next one too… while everybody hates it.
Oh, and, definitely Oblivion.
I’d also be geeked about Fallout 3, but at this point I think it’s a pipe dream.

Ding! Me too! I can’t wait for this game in fact, I’ve already written a script for my first picture. That’s not weird, is it? Oh noes, it is. 
For the record, the buzz that I’ve heard is that the sys reqs will be similar to The Sims 2, which can be found here.
Hopefully we’ll hear something official soon. And I’m glad I’m not the only one looking forward to it. I can’t wait to see movies by other dopers. We’ll have to get a thread going when it comes out. 
Aside from that, I too was more than anticipating Shadow of the Colossus, and it lived up to my expectations and then some. Just an awesome awesome game. I really hope the team that made it are working on a PS3 game now.
Quake 4 was on the list too, and didn’t deliver so much unfortunately. Still enjoying the CTF though.

I decided to delay getting new PC this year because I’m going to wait and build one for Spore - if that fits the definition of “excited.” 
Is that in any way related to the Technosphere game we used to “play” a few years ago? I miss my herbies.

If you liked Ico - yes, yes you should.
What makes it (and Ico for that matter) so great? If you like games that are high on atmosphere and immersion, you’ll enjoy this one immensly. The combination of a seamless game world and understated story just make for a perfect experience. On the gaming site I frequent several people have purchased PS2s just for these games, and if I hadn’t got mine back when FFX came out I’d probably have to do the same.
Can you read/speak Japanese? 
As for me, I’ve been hearing things about SquareEnix re-doing some of the earlier Final Fantasies for the DS. As a Johnny-come-lately to the whole FF scene (started w. FFX, neutral about X-2, bought Tactics Advance and Dawn of Souls for GBA), this might make me buy a DS.
