What was the name of this supernatural show?

It was on a local channel in NY so I’m guessing it was syndicated. I’m thinking it was on perhaps 15 or maybe even 20 years ago. It came on after Tales of the Darkside.

It was about a curio shop of evil things and it was the job of the new owners to find the things sold out of the shop and put them under lock and key. If I remember correctly there was an old guy who ran the place and a brother and sister who did the footwork.

My husband and I watched it regularly but now I can’t remember the name or a single episode. Well, except for a mirror that made people fall in love with the holder.

Sounds like Friday the 13th: The Series.

I believe you’re thinking of Friday the 13th. All I can really recall is that the sister was pretty with red hair, and the shop owner was name Louis Vendredi (vendredi is French for Friday). Darn; now I want to watch it.

Friday the 13th, the series. No relation to the movies (although I’ve always suspected Jason’s hockey mask came from the shop).

The series was much better than it had any right being.

I remember that show. Apparently the actresses full name was Louise Robey, but she went by the single name Robey at the time. Like it mattered as apparently she more or less never worked again.

According to Wikipedia she was in the band that played at the end of The Money Pit with Tom Hanks.

I almost put that in the description of the show: The sister had red hair and big eyes. My husband was in lust.

I agree with both of these statements.

This Friday the 13th? Louise Robey played one of the main characters, Mickey Foster.

It’s showing regularly on the Chiller Channel. Unsurprisingly, the show was a lot better when I was 15.

Ahhhh Friday the 13th the series.

Saw some episodes on the SciFi channel recently. I expected it to be something I remembered fondly but actually to be the suck.

Nope…It was as I remembered.

It seemed everyone disliked the show and thought it was crap. However, I liked it and still do. The show had a certain ‘energy’ about it. I think it was much better than people gave it credit for.

It may have been hurt by the tie-in. I was of the right age and mindset to be drawn to something like this but had no interest in a series based on a slasher pic – which, apparently, it wasn’t.

We were thinking about it at home and thought about watching it again but couldn’t remember the name of the series. Now I’m wondering if we’ll be as disappointed with it as we were with V.

V as in Visitors from the sci-fi mini series, not the movie V.

I only saw one episode of it, I think…it was about a surgeon who bought/found a scalpel that could heal anyone that he performed surgery on with it, but then later he would have to kill someone will it.

Check it out. . .

Christmas present, perhaps??
