The actors made it fun and not just the stupid nonsense it is.
Filmed on location in northern Wisconsin during the Bicentennial:
THE GIANT SPIDER INVASION!
Dianne Lee Hart, mmmmmmmmmmmm! :oJohn Boorman’s Excalibur. Such a beautiful film in many ways but quite a few cringe worthy moments as well. Some really clunky dialog in places too.
Hear, hear! Next up: “Tucker and Dale vs Evil.”
“The Bearskin-rug-covered Volkswagen Invasion,” you mean. ![]()
That’s right, little buddy! ![]()
^ gilligan the wonder mutt? PASS!

Clambake is so bad that it’s good. Elvis had given up on even trying to act at this point and sleepwalked though the whole thing. But it’s very amusing.
I’m going to cheat and nominate a television episode: Spock’s Brain.
Everybody knocks that episode, but I find it one of the better ones of the third season. It sure has “The Enterprise Incident” beat.
Awesome!
Noting these lines for future use. Thanks!
Loved it for Diane Lane, hated it for Jim Steinman.
I’m going to pick THE FUGITIVE (1993). It’s what happens when an awful script gets a great cast.
OOh!
Where’s the popcorn, I want to see this pile of steaming shyte again.
Not a bad movie, it’s a spoof of a certain type of bad movie! (Namely, cheesy splatter films where a group of kids in the woods are killed one-by-one by crazed locals.) Most entertaining!
Really? Is this thread at the point where the worst movie Horatio has ever watched and enjoyed is literally a movie nominated for Best Picture?
“Oh, hey, I’m going to nominate Casablanca. The script is a bit sluggish in the second act, but I don’t mind watching it every one and then.”
Yeah, but you have to experience them in the original Schwarzenegger.
“Tuh HEAH D’LamenTAYshuns of D’WimMIN!”
It lost to SCHINDLER’S LIST, and deservedly so. It’s nice when a popcorn movie gets a nomination, isn’t it? That’s sticking it to those art house snobs! Funny you mention CASABLANCA, also widely regarded as a bad movie with a stellar cast.
The Fugitive had an awful script? But it has that great line “I don’t care.”
(That was ‘written’ by the actor, wasn’t it?)
You know it! I don’t remember the last time I sat down to a movie expecting so little and enjoyed it so much!
That probably disqualifies it from this thread, so we’ll keep this our little secret. ![]()
I’m, sorry, are you implying that Schindler’s List is a bad movie now?
What the hell is a good movie for you?!?!?
Pretty sure the shower scene was done in camera.
Mom and Dad Save the World.
A very silly sci-fi comedy, but for some reason its brainless jokes tickle me.
EDIT: I was surprised to see two others mention it! Hail Tod!
