What was this self-help group?

Hi all… question here…

Ann Landers used to recommend a particular self-help organization, and I cannot remember what they were called. They weren’t a twelve-step group, but it was very much the same kind of idea. I think the name was something along the lines of Emotions Something… Recovery Something… no, that wasn’t it… does anyone know what I’m talking about???

The first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title is EST (Erhard Seminar Training?) but I’m not sure if that’s Ann Landers’ brand of advice.

Nope, that wasn’t the name. It’s one of those things where the second I see the name, I’ll remember it. Also, if anybody has experience with the group-whose-name-God-only-knows, that would be good to hear about, too.

“Emotions Anonymous” ?

It’s a twelve step program, but…

That could be it, but I’m not sure. I actually think it was a different name.

Rational Recovery?

There was a thread about this recently… consensus seems to be that they are a for-profit self-help group with cultish overtones

Recovery, Inc.?

Co-Dependents Anonymous?

It wasn’t an acting school of some sort was it ?
Cos she certainly could have done with a little help on that front.
