What was your most embarrassing moment as a Doper?

Mine has to do with on and off the board.

I originally heard of this place from a coworker at my old job. He was saying how cool it was.

At the time I didnt know his screen name and didnt think anything of it. I came on and was reading some posts.

One I thought was hillarious. Some guy was complaining of his lack of package :wink:

I went to work the next day and was telling some girls about it in the main office. He walked in only to find us reading his post.

Later that day I noticed that his computer was logged into the message board with that screen name.

Nothing between him and I was ever said… It had to have been the most akward thing.

He is in his late 50’s and I in my 20’s. I dont think it is something I was suppose to have known.:smack: :eek:

What is Warez? Got me. Some computer-related stuff, an odd spelling of “wares,” IIRC. I was too busy fleeing the thread to keep up with it.

And SUNDOG, don’t be embarrassed by that. Sometimes posting things here is like dropping them off a cliff for all the apparent reaction you get. Often threads are being posted a such a rate that some will get shuffled to the bottom and fall off the first page in a matter of hours – and a lot of people never look beyond the first page in a forum. I think everyone who’s posted for a while has had a thread or two that has been met with seemingly deafening silence. It doesn’t mean people don’t really care. OTOH, it’s just a message board, so at the end of the day you’re probably better off assuming people really don’t care.
