Umm, Britney and Lil Kim are kind of a sign that it’s not completely homophobic. It really is just a completely stupid rumor that gets repeated, and anyone who has watched a man have an orgasm knows it’s bullshit. Let’s at least get the sequence right. What got dragged in here was the Jamie Lee Curtis rumor, and idiocy that maybe it was true because of bigoted and stupid reasons. Some upset by some to my pointing out that those “reasons” had been part and parcel of that rumor forever, not new thoughts just created, for reasons I don’t get, someone I think conflating transgender and intersex conditions. and really then just continuing the spirit of the old bumped thread that was the source of the post here: share your remembered obviously crazy stupid rumors. There is a condition called AIS (Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome), where a person can have XY chromosomes, and their body produces testosterone and other male hormones, but for whatever reason the rest of the body doesn’t respond to those androgen hormones, and as a result, the body develops mostly like a female body. People with this condition are almost always assigned female at birth, and mostly live their lives as female. They’re not usually even diagnosed until puberty, because they (probably) won’t have periods.
The definitions of things like “transgender” get muddled when the physical aspects of sex don’t agree with each other, but “assigned female at birth and live life as female” is generally not considered transgender.
