What will you do if Trump wins in November?

My options are few and not particularly good.

When I think about Project 2025 – the stuff they’re already saying out loud – I can’t be sanguine.

The less democratic/more authoritarian the thing that you can imagine is – I might offer – the less likely it would be to happen under Trump 2.0.

The glaringly obvious problem, though, is that the probability of horrid things happening under T2 never reaches zero.

When you take a shot at the king, you had better not miss. A second term would embolden Trump and his supporters in ways not really seen since [Mike Godwin has basically signed off at this point] the Third Reich.

I don’t know what it looks like or how it plays out. But I’m pretty comfortable that it ain’t good. I’m also pretty convinced that the Social Darwinism element of it will feature prominently – radical oppression of, if not frank violence toward the more/most vulnerable members of our society.

“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I believe that T2 would immediately try to bend it back so suddenly and forcefully that it would snap.

What Trump wants is power. How he got his supporters on board is grievance, bigotry, and unabashed hate.

My biggest concern is the passion and the force with which both would try to get their itch scratched and the damage that would do.
