Hmmm? Wonder if the Li’l wrekker would fix me up with a glue gun and various and sundry items to glue on?
Seems like she’d get into that. The grandwrecks would probably love to help with that project too.
Now you’ve got me thinking of gluing balloons all over it, so that there’s a big popping noise if you fall. But I can’t think of a way of doing it that would be effective long-term. I can think of ways that would make a mess, but effective is to be preferred.
See? Housework is dangerous.
I make sure I’m very safe at home.
Thumb tacks?
Glue a big pink faux Mohawk onto it.
Is the helmet soft enough for that to work? That would add possibilities.
The helmet is rubbery soft with a thin shell.
I’ve decided sticky back Velcro would be better.
I was my dad’s caregiver in the last few years of his life. He did a few stints in a skilled nursing facility. They told me it was illegal to restrain him so that he couldn’t get out of bed. They did put alarms on his bed and wheelchair so they’d know if he got up by himself, but they couldn’t even put bars on the sides of the bed. He had dementia, so it was a challenge to keep him from hurting himself. You don’t have dementia, and you’re not a criminal, so what’s their excuse for treating you this way?
My dad was in California. You might want to check the laws of your state to see what they’re allowed to do.
My understanding is if you are of sound mind, and have at least 1 member of your family, and you agree it can be done.
I really really don’t wanna crack my melon, again.
If the patient requests it, it can be done.
Will the fun ever end?
I’ve been experiencing a vile thing called ‘thunderclap’ headaches.
It grabs you and in about 1 minute it goes away leaving you with a mild aching head for awhile. I’ve not been able to take migraine meds.
So here I sit. Complex medical issues. One overlapping another.
Monday I’ll get the seizure alarm removed. While that’s happening the surgeon is gonna check my brain bleed site. I may have a drainage thing installed.
They’ve kept me sedated for the last 3 Days.
I’ve been in and out of consciousness. It’s so disconcerting.
But the ‘thunderclaps’ are still happening.
You know, Life in just a joy. All the fun and games wear me out.
And, the Li’l wrekker loves handling my bank accounts and generally being my mouthpiece.
She’s so busy. I don’t know how she does it. Oh, to be so young.
I’m fading out.
And to top of all off I can’t quit sneezing. ???
While that is a wonderful point, I am allergic to cat dander and don’t think about having me give up my cats. So, vacuuming. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket so I could afford a housecleaner.
Purple rocks. I think the helmet needs googly eyes on the back. Or maybe the top.
Beck, here’s hoping that when you fade back in the thunderclaps are gone.
Sneezing with a headache is EXQUISITE agony!

IKR?
I’m awake! Weird. Just call me Rip Van Winkle.
I’m a test subject. According to the neurologist we’re going see what happens. I’ve stopped sneezing.
No headaches yet, metaphorically or real.
I’m not allowed up by myself. Rehab time has stopped for awhile. Hildagard came to see me. She wants me to keep doing stretching in the bed. And DO NOT have an accident. She says we’ll get back to where we were easily.
I do feel better. The clear head is wonderful.
Now I have 4days of crossword puzzles to do.
This is excellent news! Hoping you’re allowed to be up and around soon.
Thanks for sharing the good news. And it’s nice that Hildagard came by to see you. Stretch like a cat.
I Love variety puzzles!
