The "Neil Armstrong’s first words - updated for 2005 " thread got me wondering—
Had you been the first person on the moon, or any planet/celestial body, what would be the first thing you say?
The "Neil Armstrong’s first words - updated for 2005 " thread got me wondering—
Had you been the first person on the moon, or any planet/celestial body, what would be the first thing you say?
“Last one in the crater is a rotten egg!”
or maybe…
“I can see my house from here!”
[Kids in the Hall]“I’m crushing the Earth. Crush, crush”[KITH]
Unfortunately, I mutter and talk to myself so often… that even while I would be trying to think of something oh-so-clever to say, the first words everyone else would hear me say, whispered softly, and in awe:
“Boing… boing… boing…”
“Motherf@#$er… I think I just stepped in something.”
“This cheese is all dried out!”
I’d hum REM’s Man on the Moon.
Dr Goddard, we are here!
Say…it is a paper moon.
or
Holy SHIT! I’m on the goddamn MOON!
“Hey, Jim! Close that stage door! Ha ha, folks - just kidding!”
First, I’d say, “Good luck, Mr. Gorsky.” Then, I’d simply say what Armstrong really said.
I do believe my words would be:
Woo! Go ME!!
But then, I’m subtle like that.
“can we go now?”
CHA_
Somebody had to do it.
:smack: Oops! The title said say on the moon, I took it to mean “write”.
“I hope my leg don’t break.”
well of course I’d plan very carefully what I was going to say.
I’d then bound out of the spaceship and go
"…
…
…
…
line?"
Perfect.
“This place has no atmsophere.”
“See you on the dark side of the moon.”
