What? Yet another Doper picture thread? (Then & Now)

I noticed - I just haven’t been to this thread in a while
I’ll be adding a “during” picture at some point

Cool, I can use the same link from the other thread: kind of a “history of Jenny.” My face has changed very little in 34 years, except for getting gradually fuller…

I’ll play, too, since I raided the photo albums and scanned all manner of things just for this purpose.

Strawberry blonde babe (about a year old)

At twelve (note my t-shirt)

Senior picture (I was sixteen, since we took our senior pictures in the summer)

Standard picture now, at twenty-seven

I believe in truth in advertising.

You’re cute, with or without (some of) your hair.

I’m slowly working through the pictures in this thread, due to a cranky connection.

GusNSpot - coolest. picture set. ever.

TheOnlySaneOne - I had to LOL - your smile is the same as when you were a kid

here’s me at 5 or so covered in mud in the neighbor’s driveway. It was originally a color pic - i’m not that old

here’s me 2 years ago my weightloss “spread”. I think now even tho I’m a little heavier I am ALOT more tone. My face is definitely thinner now.

Bless your heart. (And no, I’m not a Southerner, so I mean that the nice way.) And you have a lovely smile and a melodious username. What is its origin?

Your saying that almost makes up for the meetup.com event I got lost trying to get to tonight. 38 years old and I’m driving around like a madman looking for a karaoke bar. And me a profesisonal musician. Dear Og, I need a life.

Heh. I am Southern (though there are those that will argue about that), so I know just what you mean. Thank you, though. “Harimad-sol” is one of the names of the protagonist of one of my favorite books, The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. I mainly chose it because “Harry Crewe” would have made people think that I was a guy, and “Angharad” was a bit too much altogether.

Glad to be of some service. I wouldn’t think professional musicians get to karaoke bars that often. Did you make it, or give up? Lives, I find, are overrated, but if you find one, will you share a little with me? I’m probably about due for one. (would you like to natter with me by e-mail? seems a good opportunity, since I couldn’t find a reason just to e-mail you randomly)

Smooth as ever, that’s me.

I don’t have any kid pics scanned in right now – but there’s a good one I need to scan from about age 10. Anyways:

This one is age 19 or 20, I believe

More recent (within the last year)

I don’t have any from when I was really young online, but here’s a few…

In this one, I’m about 19. Yes I’m in a cemetary; the name on the stone is actually Whorf, purposely partially obscured by my skirt 'cause I thought it was funny.

Here, I’m about 23. I played guitar for about 12 years, till I started working a second job and ran out of free time. Frankly, I’m a better writer than player, so it wasn’t really going anywhere anyway.

My favorite photo of myself is from the 1998 NHL Awards; the disembodied arm next to me belongs to Sergei Samsonov. People who see the full photo and don’t know who he is often see me in an off-white dress next to a guy in a tuxedo and say, “Oh, you were married?” Either that or that I look like Carrie Fisher, which I honestly don’t see.

Most recent is this one from a Pow Wow that I went to last year - I’m the one on the far left. I’ve lost about 10 lbs since then and look a lot more like the third photo, except my hair is longer now.

Is it too late to play? I’ve never done this before, so be gentle.

They are both working now, when I preview it. Here’s hoping???

They both worked for me the first time. What a blast this thread has been!

Just as long as it’s not Ms. Hilton.

From the tone of many of your posts, I could kinda’ guess that a leggy airhead wouldn’t be your type.

Excellent! One of my favorite Dopers, finally revealed.

Well, that takes care of one of the things I wanted to do before I die.

Nothing wrong with leggy.

Although lately when I hear that word Itend not to think of two legs.

Um…let me know if this worked Now and at 21 in 1977
