What'll happen on "Two and a Half Men" this fall?

I’m not a huge fan of the series, but find it really hard to think there could be comedy around Charlie dying. I dunno how they would pull that off.

That just sounds weird, even by sitcom standards. Maybe if Kutcher’s character is some kind of long lost relative or bastard love-child I could see it, but not if he was just some random stranger buying the house. I haven’t seen it, but didn’t the last episode filmed have Charlie going off somewhere with Rose? That would have all sorts of implications if they kill Charlie off.

I would love to see Alan open Charlie’s bedroom door and find him hanging dead, a victim of auto erotic asphixiation. Serves him right.

Since Jake is now obviously a full man, they should then find out that Charlie has a illegitmate eight year old son whose mother is dying, so they take him in to be the new 1/2 man.

So, with Kutcher, that’s . . . three-and-a-half men?

Who needs Kurtcher? I think my idea is better. And Lorre should pay me one million dollars for it.

They have had at least two episodes based around death.

Fish in a Drawer Charlie and Alan’s new stepfather Teddy, played by Robert Wagner, is found dead in Charlie’s bedroom. At one point the CSI team scans the bedroom for semen stains and they are looking at the ceiling and Charlie says, “There’s a funny story about that.”.

The Devil’s Lube This is set mostly at the funeral of an old friend of Charlie’s played by Emilio Estevez.

Not to mention the death of one of their many step-fathers. Jake lost his GameBoy in the casket.

That episode was actually rather touching, if it’s the one where Charlie and Evelyn ended up being nice to each other. (I don’t remember if it was Teddy’s death or the other guy’s.)

I still don’t think they should kill Charlie, but I guess they’ve done it on other sitcoms. Didn’t the dad die in Good Times? How about Rhoda? Didn’t her husband die? What did they do on 8 Simple Rules when John Ritter died? I never watched that one.

They need to teather that boy to his handhelds…there’s another episode where Jake’s oblivious to what’s going on around him, because he couldn’t find his GameBoy. (… OK, it’s Jake, he’d have been oblivious, anyway, but his missing GameBoy is what had his attention instead.)

AuntiePam - Yes, James died on Good Times when John Amos left. But, no, they didn’t kill Joe off on Rhoda - he and Rhoda simply divorced, and most of the third season was about it.

Wow. I sure didn’t expect any comments like this in here.

Up front: I am NOT a fan of Charlie Sheen or of the show.

That said, it’s been a big hit, and Charlie Sheen was 90% of the reason for the show’s popularity. The millions of people who DO love the show weren’t tuning in because it was original or well written. For the most part, they watched because they liked Charlie Sheen.

Hence, I don’t see the point of trying to continue the show without him.

“Where’s the dead body?”

“Jake, show some respect!”

“Where’s the dead body, sir?”

There was also an episode where Evelyn’s elderly lover died.

Mike Conners (Mannix!), who dies after taking Viagra. Probably due to all the blood rushing to his other head.

“It’s the biggest I’ve ever seen!” - Evelyn
