"What's a normal sleep cycle?" Don't ask the MMP!

**Nellie **- our ditches are not particularly pleasant. At the end near our neighbor’s property, it’s almost flat, but as it moves towards the corner road, the sides get steeper. I mow back and forth across the slope, so I’m either walking at an angle, or walking along the bottom of the ditch, reaching up to aim the mower. At least it’s got a self-propelling option - that helps. And slope aside, there are lots of weeds and grasses that grow really tall, which is why I have to stay on top of mowing.

**FCD **is going to build a radio-controlled mower for the ditches and the slope - maybe next year? I can’t let him mow - between his back and his knees, he shouldn’t be walking on an angle. And in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a terrible chore, especially when it’s not steamy hot. Honestly, the worst part was last year when I mowed over a yellow jacket nest - those bastards are vicious!!

We talked to a guy about just lining the ditches with rock, but the county won’t allow it. Dammit. So I shall mow on.

**FCD **doesn’t want supper. I’ll just make myself a salad. Kids are on their own.

Thanks folks! Closing in on 58 here, and I’m way too friendly with the Medical Mafia.

I’m up to a arm and a half, ribs and both knees sore, with new odd noises at times. I now suspect that the one zip up sweatshirt I have will get sacrificed to the Dialysis gods–can’t do the contortions to get a pullover on. Must remember to bring the scissors to have them make the ‘adjustment’. Hope I can sleep for most of the treatment.

Moooommm, while the remote controlled mower sounds nice, I recommend Plan C. Get a goat. Don’t we have one around here somewhere?

**Alien **- **FCD **is constantly looking at livestock ads on Craigslist. NO GOATS!!! :stuck_out_tongue: I try to look at mowing as part of my aerobic fitness.

I had me a good salad. I’ll have some fruit later. And I cooked up some chickie tits that will become chickie salad tomorrow. I’m not doing anything much else today.

Howdy Y’all! We virtually deheathenated, the Bishop did a virtual visit to St. Luke’s Church in large and in charge Hawkinsville, Jawja, the harness horse capital of Jawja, what ever harness horse means, then we had N.O.L., and then some quality cee-mint pond. We got back inside, showered, and, woe of woes and bother of bothers, donned acceptable bein’ about the public attire. We then drove over to the church house to participate in a drive by thingy for our gra-joo-ates. I kinda felt obligated to go bein’ as I am on the Vestry and OYKW said he would go to show support. Nice of him don’t y’all think? Anywho thus has been our day. Chillage now ensues. OK, actually chillage now continues bein’ as I suppose quality cee-mint pond time counts as chillage. All in all a nice day.

Nellie I miss hugs. OYKW and I hug and such, but I still miss the hugs in general I have been used to gettin’ and givin’. Hope the washer gets fixed soonest.

IDK, you could wind up with a two fer: ditch clearers and goats for goat yoga. goat yoga - Search Videos Iffen you got a nanny, you could even have goat milk to make cheese and yogurt.

nellie, I miss hugs too.

swampy, my grandfather was a big harness racing fan. He didn’t care much for regular horse racing, but he loved sulky races.

I heathenated virtually this morning. Our speaker was Abby Rubenfeld, a civil rights attorney who has done much work with the LGBTQ community and she spoke on tenacity. It was good, but I’ll be glad when we’re back to meeting in person.

Supper is et. While the Flamenco aigs were OK, I seriously doubt if I’ll make them again unless I need a low effort meal with plenty of vegetation. A father’s day card to Dad, a birthday card to my SIL, a couple of cards for folks in the nursing home, one to my cousin Sis (does every hillbilly family have a cousin Sis? :stuck_out_tongue: ) and one to my cousin Mike;s grandson who is a newly minted PFC in the USMC are addressed and ready to go in the mail tomorrow. Tonight, I need to print address labels, since I used my last ones for the cards. Then, it’s setting up the next layout in the studio.

It has been a very pleasant weekend here. Businesses are starting to open up and life is slowly becoming closer to normal.

well, the new swamp cooler is on with only one temporary part needed … considering the beyond rigged job that the electric is in this house I’m surprised its only one … so now it will snow tomorrow or so…

Two nice, smooth, non-clusterfuck days in a row at work, after Thursday’s absolute horrorshitshow of bitchy people, lost money (!!) and customers walking up to our tall chain link fence like friggin’ zombies, moaning “Weed, how do I buy weeeeeeed?”
Nuthin’ like passing driver’s licenses and cash through chain link to make you NOT feel like you’re in the prison yard, eh?

But despite some minor personal squabbling, we all mostly have each other’s backs. Oh, and the missing money from Thursday - over a hundred bucks’ worth - turned up yesterday to enormous relief and high-fives (and not a few muttered, “See, we didn’t friggin’ take it!”) from everyone who’d also worked Thur.

Stopped at Dah Sto’ on the way home for three things. Left with over eighty bucks’ worth. :dubious: In my defense, most of it was easy-heat frozen snacky things for future tired evenings, plus a small overpriced hunk o’cow (ribeye) for tonight’s dinner. Future me is gonna be so grateful my tired, hungry, slightly stoned ass unleashed itself in the frozen aisles!

Yes, Nikki. I also got your precious gooshyfood.

I also got unsalted peanuts in their jackets, to toss out into the backyard for Inky - my resident black squirrel - and his various cohorts.

Two glorious days off in a row coming up! Oh, and a whole batch of new, hopefully awesome socks should be Amazon-ing their way to me posthaste. They’re supposed to be cushioned, and firmly support thy arches, and maybe they’ll also do my taxes.

Now, imma sear my expensive little hunk o’cow and kick back with some elderly “Third Rock From The Sun” DVDs. I started re-watching those when the internet - and thus, Netlix - went out last week, and … I’m re-hooked!

My nephew has been in counselling his whole life. When I was four and we were living in Japan, I was translating for my mother. I couldn’t understand my nephew when he was ten. So there was speech therapy. He was diagnosed with autism at some point, so more counselling. Toxic home environment (outside influence), so more counselling. I’ve just had a feeling he was gay. So it’s not surprising he’s transgender(?). Last I heard, he was 5’ 8" and 370 pounds. I have a feeling he’s not going to be around long. I wish him/her happiness in the time left.

As I was mowing lawns today, I thought ‘I wish I had a Roomba lawnmower.’

Evening all. Two loads of laundry completed, so I won’t have that hanging around tomorrow. Not much else to report.

purp, glad the money turned up, and I have a hunch you could have some interesting stories from that job, but up to you what/if you tell us.

nellie, sorry for the dead washer, hope it can be revived.

Alien, glad to know you’re doing better…but waking up tomorrow might be a little…sore…

All y’all take care and 'll catch you on the next MMP.

: ducks past 504 :
Made poke chops with sweet **N.O.T.**s, and broccoli with Penzy’s Mural of Flavor, vinegar, and olive oil. Watching cooking shows.

nellie, that sucks about the washer.

shades, glad the Swamp cooler is running. Is The Still working?;)
