What's in your CD player?

I was in the process of organizing my CD’s (I have a lot of time on my hands being unemployed!). I have been listening to old stuff and songs I haven’t heard in awhile. What do you have in your CD player right now?

The most rewarding part was when I got my money!

Sir Arnold Bax’s tone poems.

NOVEMBER WOODS and THE GARDEN OF FAND are the ones I’m into at the moment.

Rage Against the Machine – Battle of Los Angeles

Right now? It’s something by Frank Sinatra.
(but this is subject to change…right now in fact…)
(thanks for the reminder)

Right now, nothing. But the last CD to be in there was the Foo Fighters.

Anita Baker “Rapture”. It only took me 14 years to get this great CD.

BTW, what is “Flood Control”? I tried to post and couldn’t cause 60 seconds hadn’t gone by since my last one. Weird!

Dawn Upshaw, Girl with Orange Lips.

Better Than Ezra, How Does Your Garden Grow?

Actually, there’s 200 of 'em in there, but that’s the one I’ve been listening most recently.

He weathered a firestorm of agony and did not break.
And while Yori raged against his unbending
courage, we took Kyuden Hiruma back.
His loss is great, but so is the gift his suffering brought.
-Yakamo’s Funeral

SQL Server 7.0

The third CD from the Bruce Springsteen boxed set, “Tracks”, that Dirty Devil let me borrow.

“It is now proved beyond doubt that smoking is one of the leading causes of statistics.”

D’oh! I forgot to mention what I’m listening to… Frank Zappa- Broadway the Hardway

Since many of you already posted, I guess you already got the general idea about this thread… Buncha smart kids in this room!

If you feel that you must suffer, then plan your suffering carefully–as you choose your dreams, as you conceive your ancestors.

Elton John’s Aida

I really try to be good but it just isn’t in my nature!

sarah stefanson - broken like a starfish.

MTV’s Party to Go No. 6

At least I think it’s No. 6 - I’ve got ten of 'em. My hubby doesn’t care for hip-hop, rap or modern R&B as much as I do, so I listen to it in the car when I can.

Tracks that I can think of off the top of my head:

Award Tour by A Tribe Called Quest
Fantastic Voyage by Coolio
100% Pure Love by Somebody Whose Name I Can’t Remember Right Now
Ghetto Jam by Domino
Regulate by Warren G and Nate Dog

Word to tha mutha.

An odd array…
Willie Nelson, “Standard Time”
Sountrack to “Immortal Beloved”
Sountrack to “South Park, Bigger, Longer and Uncut”
Weird Al- “Running With Scissors”

I have very odd tastes in music…

Firesign Theater! Eutychus! You da man! I listened to “Give Me Immortality Or Give Me Death” on New Years Eve, which I felt was appropriate.

I don’t remember clearly what’s in my home changer, cuz I don’t use it much. I believe it’s:

1-Cirque du Soleil, “Alegria” (Alegria is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard)
2-empty; used to test CDs I’ve burned.
3-Cirque du Soleil, “Mystere Live” (great Taiko number I use to out-bass my neighbor)
4-Bob Dylan, Greatest Hits
5-Beethoven’s Sonata, “Moonlight”

In my truck, it’s:

1-80’s CD, various stuff
2-Bill Hicks, “Arizona Bay”
3-They Might Be Giants, “Then” disc 2
4-They Might Be Giants, “Severe Tire Damage”
5-Josh’s Blair Witch Mix
6-Corky and the Juice Pigs, “Pants”
7-Monty Python
8-Monty Python
9-Loreena McKennitt, “The Visit”
10-Loreena McKennitt, “The Book of Secrets”

Quite a mix, eh?
